  1. Nothing wrong with a Glock, but that's the wrong glock.
  2. Targets and no shoots are essentially hard cover/impenetrable. Anything you hit after passing through a target doesn't count. If your hit is on the edge, then the target didn't fully "absorb" the bullet, and it continued on down range.
  3. There is already a rule for this regarding hits on steel through hardcover.
  4. Purposely doing it would be an unsportsmanlike DQ...the rule you referenced there means if you bump into the RO and also somehow break the 180 or do any other DQable offense, you may still be DQ'd.
  5. There's another whole thread on this but I agree. That's why it's important for everyone to take the RO course.
  6. They were calling hits on steel through walls as Mikes...or was that at a3? So much bad ROing going around it's hard to keep track
  7. There are a few small things that add up to a bit of time overall, but we are talking a couple of tenths here. Hand speed- you need to be going to that mag like there's a thousand dollar bill in it. You aren't moving slow, I just think you could be faster. After you complete the load you are dropping the slide and rebuilding the grip, then presenting the gun. Do all of that at the same time. (that was only really noticeable to me on the slowmo video, but again, we are talking a few hundredths here that can be gained) It also seems like you are getting the mag all the way to the gun, pausing a bit, then really tensing up to jam it in there. Are you trying to get the gun to auto forward? You're going to need to complete the load in one smooth motion to get that fastest times. That being said, visually acknowledging that SLIGHT pause as you insert the mag will lead to more consistency, and that extra tenth (or less) that it takes is probably worth it in an actual match. Also, just for comparative purposes, nearly everyone who is going to brag about their reload times is not referring to slide lock reloads. I know I certainly don't, so don't beat yourself up over a 1.3 load. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWyiP3bC7OE
  8. I know a few big time shooters that don't even bother with that one.
  9. The ROs job is not to educate you on the rules DURING the stage. That's what this thread is mostly about. I will answer all the questions in the world between shooters but when you are on the course with your loaded gun, the rules apply the same to everyone.
  10. I can't believe you have that huge mag paddle with those giant mitts of yours
  11. You guys worrying about forearm, upper arm, shoulder or back muscles are going to be stiff and have problems transitioning, Hold the gun as hard as you can with your weak hand without it shaking, and firmly with your right hand (but not so firmly that you lose trigger finger dexterity)
  12. The only issue is the width of the ambi safeties. Be sure to check it with an IDPA box. Depending on what you get, it may not fit. The "custom" sized ambi safety is huge,.
  13. None of those. My guns work. If they didn't I'd fix them or throw them in the river
  14. Because it lessens people's real accomplishments in actual divisions for people to shoot these weak divisions and still leave with the same size Cadillac (oops, I mean $5 trophy)
  15. I've seen empty chamber or unloaded starts at some matches for PCC when the pistols didn't have to start that way. I don't think most people complained.
  16. That's funny because I recall seeing a bunch of videos from Adam at Atlas talking about how to tweak the gen 2 mags to get them working Grams guts and Taran or Dawson pads
  17. Legal assuming it fits the box with it installed
  18. All my Gen 1 STI tubes worked fine out of the box and have neved needed tuning ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  19. My Caspian mags definitely sent bullets straight into the feed ramp, but other than that, maybe I've just been lucky. The only times I've had a gun not work was because the guns were awful themselves. The mags worked just fine in other guns that were set up right.
  20. Yes. Technically they are part of the wall, so you can go around the front of the wall and stand on them if the wall is part of the shooting area. I've joked about it a handful of times but only seen it done once.
