Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Aaaaaannndd, its AMG for the WIN! I agree the sensitivity level can be set to hear the snap of a finger. Five presets available, easy access to split times and will Bluetooth directly to a pad with Practicescore on it. Only downside is having to wait a couple of months to get them.
  2. ....and we know eloquence is important;) Regardless, I’m anxious to see the M&P grip insert mod because I don’t particularly like the skinny Axiom grip.
  3. These are fantastic timers, well worth the wait . One of the matches I shoot has a full compliment of these and makes use of the Bluetooth transfer. It works very well except on one bay that is very close to a cell phone tower - we just manually input on that stage. The sensitivity is truly amazing. In dry firing my open gun it will pick up the hammer fall if I place it within 3' of the action. Also picks up .22 carbines easily set on #7 sensitivity.
  4. Good discussion Hoop. I'm thinking that something similar to Rimfire Challenge (but available to centerfire pistol calibers too) would be generally what you're looking for. Here's a link to their rulebook: https://www.rimfirechallenge.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/2019-RCSA-Rule-Book_Final_2019.1-1.pdf
  5. I soak mine in Bore Tech C4 Carbon Remover for 30-60 minutes then just brush them off with brass brush. Works fine for me though I do it after 3-500 rounds max (basically a practice session and a match). Also, I do not put any lubrication on them - per instruction manual.
  6. I’m extremely happy with my Gen 3 MPX. Only have 1500 rds through it but it has been very reliable. I tested about 20 different loads in it all the way from 95gr 100PF to 147gr 150PF and it cycled and locked back with them all. I do keep it very clean including the gas block. I also like that it’s fairly light right out of the box.
  7. DPP 7.5moa for me. I’ve got three of them and they all have been excellent in terms of performance and battery life. I’ve also got an RTS2 on my open gun - I like the brightness of the dot but it definitely eats batteries in a hurry.
  8. RTS2: 8moa DPP: 7.5moa
  9. 9# Wolff for major and 8# Wolff for minor in my MatchMaster 9mm.
  10. Thx all. After talking with a local PCC guru I decided to go with CFE Pistol which burns a little cleaner. I tested from 3.6gr up to 4.2gr and settled on 4.0gr. Chronoed at 941fps and 138 PF with good dot retention and lively (read: not sluggish) feeling.
  11. Last season I wore my trusty Salomon Quest 4D 3 GTX boots - great boots and a very popular option around my area. Salomons have always fit me well so I did some searching within the brand and found the X Ultra Trek GTX. It’s basically the same boot but a few ounces lighter. So far through about 6 weeks and several matches (as well as hiking with my pooches) I’m very happy with them.
  12. I go with denatured alcohol and a cotton swab after every match/practice. Also clean the projection lense (or whatever it’s called).
  13. Thanks guys. Yes PP can be a flamethrower for sure. I’m going to give it a try and see how it feels.
