  1. Dave, I think you'll be much happier with a Limited as a base gun; it's drilled/tapped for optics, it can accept a bolt on magwell, and it can easily accept a good, off the shelf comp. Between a custom comp, custom magwell and d/t the frame you're going to spend more than the difference in price. Do you reload? Are you wanting to do this work yourself?
  2. The "factory ammo" barrel has no holes and only one port cut out of the comp: as opposed to the V12/2 port barrel: I started with a Stock II slide, factory ammo barrel and made my custom Y7: I ordered some three port comps from EG and am currently working on a 2 hole/3 port comp Limited slide:
  3. Perhaps you're not seeing it leave the glass...
  4. If you want more gas drop the bullet weight and uo the powder charge, try 8gr+ of Longshot under a 115. That being said, two port comps are generally less than mind blowing.
  5. The trouble is a new PT frame is just over $200 so you'd be hard pressed to find someone with the skills to do what you asked willing to do it for less.
  6. Is that mount welded to the frame?!?
  7. The holes have set screws in them, the tread is M3x0.5, the hex key size is 1.5mm
  8. Small frame Tanfo mags fit the BE, you can get them from EAA for $25 or cheaper than dirt a little cheaper
  9. They're the same barrel, so barring and tollerance stacking they'll swap fine. You'll have to fit a factory new barrel to either, but that's easy.
  10. I'm not one to discourage the "buy and try" strategy, I've done it myself and prefer the Shadow: better trigger, and better people importing/supporting them.
  11. If the Shadow fits your hand perfectly, tell me again why you're going to buy a Stock II sight unseen? Do you own a CZ? or have you just handle someone else's?
  12. Large/small frame Tanfo are almost identical in outside dimensions: The only difference in size between the CZ and Tanfo is the checkering, on the CZs it's cut into the grip whereas on the Tanfo it stands out ~1/16" front and back so it fills your hand a little more.
  13. I've seen both Stock IIs and IIIs in both frame sizes although the majority of Stock II 9mms are large frame and the first Stock III 9mms I came across were all small frame, but they seem to be coming in mostly large frame now too.
  14. It's similar to the CZ, but closer to a Stock II. The trigger can be tuned better than a Stock II because of the long hammer spring like a CZ. This'll get you pretty close: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773
  15. Really?!? It took 8.3gr of HS6 under a plated 124 for me to make 164 in my V12.
  16. SAO conversion is no problem, Cajun Gun Works trigger return spring, I'm pretty sure David offers a Canik hammer as well.
  17. I have a tiny little PreB slide stop I'll trade you
  18. No holes in the barrel use 115s. I use the one piece aluminum guide rod from Briley, I takes an ounce out of the nose and with a steel comp you could use it.
  19. I would try 10.1 and 10.2, I'd bet one of them gives you higher velocity than 10.3.
  20. Are you hunching your shoulders on the draw?
  21. Really?!? I've never heard someone go from horizontal to vertical.
