You just need to change the angle of the slide stop where it catches the slide the more it angles back into the slide the more positive the hold open, the closer to parallel you get, the easier it will slam shut.

I don't think any slide locks are designed to release when you seat a mag, but it's easy enough to set up with a few file passes.

I used a 9mm slide with a 38 super barrel in my Y7 and it runs Supercomp like a raped ape

I've drilled holes with end mill bits without regard to the placement in the rifling and have seen no loss of accuracy.

The SA shot breaks at the sear and hammer while the DA shot breaks on the trigger bar and disconnector; a light hammer spring has the biggest effect on the DA pull and short, polished hammer hooks have the biggest effect on the SA pull. One spring you left off your list is the reduced power trigger return spring for CZ from Cajun Gun Works, it reduces both DA and SA by a half pound.

I would also imagine with holes angled rearward the gun shoots a little softer in the hand.

Yes, I load SP2 on a 650. I use the tightest of my three powder bars to minimize spillage.

I tend to agree with Eric, but unfortunately he hasn't made a comp for my Tanfoglios yet so I'm stuck drilling holes to make up for subpar comps!?! The Tanfo V12 Gold Team is the extreme example: Two tiny ports in the comp and 12 holes to make up for it. It takes 8-10% more powder to make the same velocity as a barrel w/o holes. It makes sense to me you get the same downward force from one hole at 12 o'clock as two of the same size at 45 degree angles to one another with half the powder loss. I tested this with my custom "Y7 Gold Team": I'm pleased to report it shoots flatter than the V12 and uses less powder (3-4% more than a barrel w/o holes). My best comp so far for Tanfoglio is this modified three port on the left, to which I plan to add 3-4 holes at 12 o'clock: I own a dozen Open guns, have shot a lot of comps, and have opined the only advantage to V pattern ports is looks and maybe a little less flame in your line of sight. Any holes I add to my guns go straight up from now on.

That's correct M3.5x0.6 same as CZ.

If you have a good hardware store you might get stronger screws. The fact they're breaking might indicate the holes aren't directly in line or straight...

Where are you getting the screws?

I also like HS6 better than WAC or Sil.
