  1. Try again, I had the same luck as you late yesterday. This morning it's working for me (posting through TT for this reply).
  2. I just tried again with the same result. Tried removing this forum from my followed ones and re-following, same result. I'm on an Iphone for what that's worth. I sent an error report to Tapatalk as well.
  3. I get an access denied pop-up with the following in the background. Current plugin version 4.4.3 Latest plugin version 4.4.3 Attachment upload - ok Push notification - ok
  4. When we did ours the contractor had some good reasons to do both furnace and ac at the same time. The new systems have slightly different form factors for ducting, so labor and materials to retro fit may not make sense. Especially in light of the fact you could pay 2x when the odd old piece dies. We elected to go all new for that reason.
  5. This right here. TTI has exceptional customer service. They also have a YouTube video on their Basepads that walks through some basic info. It's probably a couple years old but the info is still accurate. And info from Dawson that is applicable to other extended pads.
  6. I can't answer the question, but would be interested in what others come up with. At a recent large match pretty much all the open shooters that I saw were using the now discontinued COM holster. Seems like someone would step in to fill the gap (albeit a very small market).
  7. That's against the rules as published no? Appears to be ok? Where are you seeing it's not? PCC ready conditions is where I was looking and I don't see anything precluding what's described above.
  8. Agreed. The other disturbing trend is matches using it as the sole information delivery device. Easy for them, yes. But a real PITA for those of us who remain steadfast in our position to boycott FB.
  9. Some good info already posted. I've been thinking the same as the OP. In addition to the bob marvel class, Larry vickers also does a week long build class. One thing to think about is the costs above and beyond tuition. Specifically parts and tools. Yes you end up with a pistol, but it will only be 45. And you buy all tools to build, many of which you'll only use once. For me personally, it prices me out. If you're only going to build once it's pricy. It's more geared to armorers and aspiring gunsmiths rather than competitors.
  10. Good advice here. Seeing and hearing in detail is the way to go.
  11. SKD pig gloves, original mechanix, or even some fingerless weightlifting gloves if you could find some with no or limited padding.
  12. I do have room to be upset. 5 of the local matches in my area are not allowing PCC's not do safety concerns but because of narrow mindedness. Now how can I be influential as you mentioned in changing attitudes, if in the end, i am not allowed to shoot at the match. You could offer to set up a PCC match and run it how you want. OR, we all can shoot together at a USPSA match. It is funny that is the quick answer go shoot your own match. As if I have said that everyone has to shoot PCC. I am not forcing anyone to do anything. It's quite the opposite. Great solution though using your logic we should run: A revolver match for the two revolver shooters in the state. A production match for those who need a challenge. A single stack match for those who like to reload. An open match for those who like to shoot fast and not reload. Better yet everyone has to shoot only limited. It is the happy medium. OR you let people shoot what they want within USPSA rules, for the reasons they want, ultimately shooting with their friends in the other divisions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The difference is that all pistols can use the same start position, gun handling, etc etc. throw a long gun in the mix and the dynamics change which is the crux of the matter. In our area matches are full to overflowing without much if any room to grow. So people shooting 2 guns or additional shooters will be a stretch. Plus 1 range doesn't allow long guns in pistol bays. I would love to shoot a PCC match, but personally I'm not in favor of mix and match.
  13. If you're feeling adventurous atlas gunworks has a number of YouTube videos to assist shade tree gunsmiths. Slide stop tuning is one of them as is mag tuning. Slide lock with rounds remaining requires tuning one or both of these items. If that isn't your thing, the previous posters advice is sound. Edit to add links.
  14. I like paper as much as the next person, but in this day and age does it make sense to send out a new card every time a classification changes? Membership card I can understand somewhat, but classification can be found pretty easy online. Seems like an opportunity to save a buck or two.
  15. SLR solo ultra lite here. Very nice, light Handguard. Not cheap though.
  16. TTI is good to go. I had them stipple my G17. Good communication, quick turnaround and quality work. I would use them again.
  17. The approved list is here--http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-NROI-production-gunlist.php If it isn't on there the mfg needs to be your point of contact. The process to get on the list is covered at the top of the linked page.
  18. I'm pretty sure there's never a scenario in which a non-licensee can legally receive a handgun via common carrier, even if it's being shipped across the street.Maybe if it had been shipped back to the mfr for warranty repair, but I wouldn't bet on that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I send guns to my builder for work by UPS and he sends right back to my house. If I have him build one he must send it to an FFL for initial trip.More or less Idk how he does it, unless he has a mfr license and it's being done under the guise of warranty work. An individual can legally ship a handgun to an FFL. The problem is USPS won't ship handguns except between FFLs. FedEx & UPS will, but only priority overnight (at least the last time I checked). Go to their site and calculate shipping. But make sure you're sitting down. It is expensive, and you are correct about USPS. But, it can be done. The reason they can can ship it directly to you is covered here - Firearms shipped to FFLs for repair or any other lawful purpose may be returned to the person from whom received without transferring the firearm through an FFL in the recipient’s State of residence. FFLs may also return a replacement firearm of the same kind and type to the person from whom received (18 U.S.C. § 922(a)(2)(A))
  19. Sarge I've been looking for the 98%+ alcohol to make the lanolin lube with and the only thing I found was a chemical supply place at about $30/gallon plus hazmat and shipping. All advice and help appreciated as Dillon lube gets expensive loading several thousand rifle and pistol rounds. Amazon is your friend when it comes to this kind of stuff. https://www.amazon.com/Swan-Isopropyl-Alcohol-99%25-Pint/dp/B001B5JT8C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1467289046&sr=8-1&keywords=98+isopropyl+alcohol You can also ask at your local Wal-Green or similar. It is sometimes behind the counter. Seems like I found mine at WalMart or WallGreen.
  20. I've had and used both. The Dawson's are slightly easier to get on and off. Other than that they're the same. Both are top quality and either will serve you well.
  21. 3.7-3.8 should get you to 130ish at those OAL.
  22. Unknown round count as I purchased it used. It does have 3 poppel holes.
