Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have a 2011 open gun (Serendipity sight w/blast shield and a go guns thumb rest). I currently use a COM holster and like it. I'm interested in purchasing a second one. However, I no longer seem to be able to find the website. Are they still around? Did their name change? Alternatively, are there any other options? (a locking kydex would be awesome!) FWIW: I use an 014 for USPSA but I like the kydex protection for multigun matches like the Ironman/HaH. Thanks!
  2. +1 on cleats while competing. I come from a sports background so I am used to wearing cleats for extended periods of time. -Make sure you don't cheap out...buy quality! -Make sure you get something stable and flexible. There are different types of cleats for different terrains. I went with Mizuno "turf" shoes and love them! http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008ENFLZ4/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1406667958&sr=8-1π=SX200_QL40#
  3. If it's working great for you... Don't mess with it I only run CMJs through my open guns... They've been very accurate and I figure it's the profile least likely to have feed/cycle problems. FWIW I haven't tried anything else as I've had no reason to do so.
  4. I think this should be the first step... Test with factory ammo to create a baseline. Maybe something like Atlanta Arms and Ammo...
  5. For those of you running both the Dillon sizer and the u-die... I'm curious why? I just replaced the Dillon die with the u-die. Is there something I'm missing?
  6. Can you fit enough of it in the case to make major with 9? I've been told it fills an entire 38SC case.... ps... Should move this to the 9/38 sub forum...probably get more responses
  7. I just use sharpie... They make plenty of different colors... Cheap, easy, and no mess
  8. Great drill! Thanks! I'm all over the place...which is ok since that means I have lots of room to improve! PM incoming for Part 2. Can't wait to find out what it is! Raw, Down, Adj Time 4.07, 2, 5.07 3.98, 0, 3.98 3.65, 0, 3.65 3.62, 3, 5.12 3.73, 2, 4.73 3.79, 3, 5.29 Avg Adj Time: 4.64
  9. Great recommendations from the guys above. I would also suggest trying to find someone local that can help if needed. Good luck!
  10. Black Blast Shield FTW!
  11. I made mine as well... No primer and colored differently. I also never chamber a round while dry firing... They are simply to add weight to the mags and gun.
  12. I've always wondered the same thing... I guess ultimate magazine loader just doesn't have the same ring? That being said this is one of my greatest 20ish buck purchases ever... I challenge you to find a quicker way to blow through 22 ammo!
  13. I would ask your gunsmith if he has a preference. Yes, it's your gun and I'm sure he would make it how you want. BUT I believe part of the pricetag is paying for the gunsmiths knowledge and expertise. Plus he's the one that has to fit it, etc...
  14. FWIW... Maybe try calling instead if email? In my experience it normally has better results. Can't hurt right? Good luck! Hope you end up with an awesome gun
  15. I use a Ruger MKIII 22/45RP, bull barrel, volquartsen trigger kit, Cmore. Might be the most fun gun I own... Especially coupled with the "ultimate clip loader" ... Wow you can shoot 22 ammo fast! As to cleaning... You get good at taking them apart. I normally just wipe mine down and run a bore snake through it. About every 5k I'll strip it. I had to replace the extractor at about 20k.
