  1. When you say HQ do you mean DNROI? Because that's where the answer lies. My 2 cents is it would be legal as it's the same as the plastic plugs. Only thing to watch would be weight.
  2. Like others have said, whatever shoots best. It's a relatively safe bet though that the Fiocchi low recoil will be acceptable. I tried a bunch and the Fiocchi 1 oz were the ticket in my M2.
  3. Me too. Same error, same result. Can still browse and read forums, just not post.
  4. While I can't help directly, have you watched these two videos from Atlas Gun Works?
  5. I really liked my vortex pst. This year i traded it off for the Burris 1-5 thinking I'd like the extra magnification. So far it hasn't mattered much. For warranty and durability I'd go with the vortex.
  6. Update--today an email went out with some preliminary info and referencing more info to come. Unfortunately it was too little too late for me, but I was able to reach 3GN and make arrangements to withdraw and receive a refund.
  7. Regarding the JPoint--what's everyone's experience on durability and longevity? Is/are shotguns harder on these MRDS than slide mounted on a pistol? considering going to a Vepr12 and mounting it in place of the rear sight (which sounds like the best place on those shotguns).
  8. So do you need to buy both the 80% frame and the parts kit? Just got an ad from glockstore on these and if you have to buy both its $300 plus shipping which seems a little steep.
  9. The info I saw was 8 stages 400 rounds.
  10. Crazy croc is an outlaw match so the divisions are whatever they say they are. Everybody that I know who's shot it says it's a hoot. I can't answer your question directly because I've never been able to go. but looking at registration it looks like irons is just that. Pretty much everything but dots or wheel guns. Hopefully someone with more inside knowledge will weigh in, but that should get you started.
  11. With a little practice even small hands can load 4. Starting from scratch I probably would teach myself strong hand load 2. The gun is in a better, more controllable position on tight stages and your focus is up more. Weak quads you're looking down and the gun is (mostly) parallel. Either work well with practice though. Any belt works, use ELS, TMMS, or tek-lok. Probably more folks using ELS these days for ease of swapping gear around.
  12. I've been happy with mine. I got it when they were giving away 50% off coupons. If I had it to do over, and had to pay full retail, I'd probably go with the brownells version. I've compared mine with one in person and I think the brownells one has it beat in terms of durability.
  13. Tried that awhile ago, crickets. Tried emailing Charles next, crickets. Had wife PM their Facebook, crickets. Submitted my request to withdraw this morning through their web contact form in the hopes somebody sees it.
  14. Huh. That's not especially good news, since the local crew has a track record of good matches and I liked last years match. We're nearing the 5 week cutoff for full refund. It's also time to commit for travel and lodging. In light of no communication I'm leaning towards pulling the plug rather than doubling down. I'm sure the match will go off and be good, but my job doesn't offer a lot of flexibility so if I'm wrong on travel it won't be good.
  15. Has anyone heard anything other than dates for this match? No info anywhere that I can find and emails have gone unanswered. Registered in January and nothing since.
  16. Taran tactical does top flight work on Glocks.
  17. Not to be a jerk or anything but those podcasts are not easy to listen to. It seems like great information but I'm not sure it's worth enduring the chopped up Van Halen songs. And to use a Journey song as an analogy? Brutal. I agree, which is why I ended up buying his second book. Lots of good information in it presented in a logical fashion.
  18. Have you tried to plunk test that in the barrel you're working the load up for? It should be close. No matter what the plunk test is where to start. Once you have that coming up with the load of TG should be pretty straightforward as there is tons of data on this site for 124/125 gr coated and TG. Many of the folks using CZs are in the same boat. As an example I've used SNS, Leatherhead and other 124/125 gr at 1.1" and ~3.7 gr TG. The exact charge needs to be determined with a chrono. You may also find better accuracy somewhere greater than min PF as well.
  19. Best is subjective. I think those from Invictus practical are the best. Good design, excellent customer service and competitive pricing. You'll likely get lots of answers, and lots of choices.
  20. True, but the cost puts it out of reach for most casual shooters. Even as many rounds per year as I'm putting through the redding push through $825 plus case feeder is pretty steep.
  21. 6.5 guys has some info on this as well. Probably more detail than needed if you're already familiar with the process. http://www.65guys.com/load-development-part-1-of-2/
  22. Not an Stoeger, but I've been using a Proctor sling on my M2. I'm thinking about using it on my AR as well. Very flexible/adaptable and no attachment points or swivels needed.
  23. Plunk test, then pick a starting load. I'm guessing 3.7 gr at 1.1" coal. That's where I ended up on my Accu. Not bayou but several other brands of coated 124/125. Should easily make minor +\- a tenth.
