  1. I think that is a unicorn. Are you at 23.5 rounds? If so, ChaLee recommended base sizing 40 brass to get an added round. Perhaps that would help with 9mm too.
  2. I have traded and posted a few guns to reduce the amount of choices I have on game day. Still too many.
  3. I just switched the other way. I like the size of the Dawson.
  4. Taran Tactical CZ Custom Taylor Freelance Springer Precision Henning
  5. Do you have the plastic mag catch still? If so thats the culprit.
  6. I screwed a SJC glock comp on my Witness open gun. The size is reasonable. Beauty not so much.
  7. It has cleared one of the major weaknesses of the RIA.
  8. I have a small fortune invested in Para Canadian mags/Dawson base pads. I ordered a Taylor Freelance base pad, installed it on a Mecgar 15 round mag for the Para. These have not worked in Para pistols with a magwell. It installed easily, I tossed it in the mag gauge and it had about a mm of play. It fit perfectly in my two RIA doublestacks with Fattie magwell with 20 rounds of 40, reloadable. I tried it on an ACT mag which turns out to be too long for the gauge without taking off a mm or so. The ACT mag works with the Dawson base pads in the Para Ord. I think the Mecgar for Para mags are about $20 and the TF magwell about $35, so a good deal in comparison. I will need to do a function check also.
  9. I am looking for a G19 Gen3 for a Poly80 project. I have a Para 16-40 in the safe. I may be interested in some horse trading...
  10. I have been playing with the CO guns. CORE currently has RMR. Nice Steel EAA witness, very good shooter. And the ultimate package, CZ sp01 with CZ custom optic plate.
  11. The 18 rounds plus the cz custom short pad will gauge at 140. Most of the others are designed for the Mecgar 17 round mag. TTI as well. I think I added grams springs, just because.
  12. I use the Lee 9mm, 40 and 45acp 4-die set for my progressive. It includes the FCD. I agree the Lee sizing die does a good job of taking out the Glock bulge but I do run the finished product thru a round checker. I get 2-5 rounds per 100-200 that get put into the "Glocked" box for range use.
  13. I turned a friend on to a Para 16-40 found in the classifieds here. It was custom thru and thru, a fine shooter, with mags, for $650. That gun could easily take him to M class.
  14. I have the mags pictured. The TTI pads fit the gauge but are a little tattered. I assume these are the 3mm pads. Will Dawson “Basepad HiCap for STI/SV Extended Tool-less Design by Dawson Precision” fit and still keep me in the gauge? They also say plus one, will it add capacity?
  15. I would agree with this. I tried the Glock with a dovetail insert and you really need to to this with the Glock. Using the CZ or Witness the natural pointability helps a lot. I draw the gun and use my index finger to index the gun. The Glock index finger rides higher on the slide . It does not take too many repititions to make it work.
  16. I finally got out to the range and the scope offers a ton of clarity at range. Simple uncluttered view. Dot visible in bright light. Unlock and turn knobs are handy.
  17. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/mobile/product/411551147/ifg_tanfoglio_bullseye_40s&w_6 That may tempt me...
  18. I use my Para mags in Rock Islands exclusively. (I lied, I have a Para too)
  19. They show up from time to time. Have you seen Taylor Freelance is offering some? For 15 round Mecgar mags.
  20. They should work, sometimes require sanding.
  21. You need to scrounge used parts off ebay or classifieds to truly “go ghetto”.
