it really does depend on the gun. I ran Wins no problem in my G17 set up for Co but then went to my 34 for Production and had numerous light strikes. These guns and all parts set up exactly the same. Went to Federal SPPMs and zero problems.

Federal Magnums are as soft as the regular SPPs also.

I found my Glock with light trigger will set off Winchesters just fine. I used to use only Federals which are unobtanium

Titegroup 4.1-4.2 with 124 MG 1.135 for G17/34, 19 will be a tad slower

loaded 1,000's of these bullets. I find the plating pretty thick and load closer to a jacketed bullet vs lead. Titegroup 3.9-4.0 with 124 RN 1.135 for my G17/34 and WSF 4.5-4.6 with 124 RN 1.135 - I don't shoot for the power factor floor

ordered the new STI 9mm 170 with grams guts and Dawson SNL basepad from Brazos (I'm loyal to Bob). I currently run the older STI's with grams and a spacer, same basepads. Call me OCD but in the end I wanted it all to match as no report I read really indicated one better than the other. I'll report back - running this in an STI GrandMaster Trubor 9mm.

Need to order additional mags, what are some opinions for 9mm 170 mags. MBX complete or "new" STI with grams guts and Dawson SNL BP? The price difference is 20 bucks so not a great consideration.

well I put one on my rifle and tuned it so my lightest load (IMR 4198 20.4g 55g) cycle. We'll see in a match if I can tell the difference.

all this about the RTS2 is unsettling. I just bought a new to me STI GM with a newer RTS2 on it. Sight went out just before the Doc Welt match. C-More is making good on it but I cant help but think that their business is going to take a big hit because of this.

People will tell you to chase the power factor floor and then add some "overhead". Just know that sometimes a hotter load can be more accurate and on the timer the difference is subjective. A good example is major power factor in open guns. 165 makes major but a lot of guns run better in the mid 170's because more gas runs certain comps better.
