  1. I have installed triggers and parts in many Glocks and at one time had 13 aftermarket triggers on hand. I told Johnny Glocks I wanted reduced pretravel, rolling break, reduced overtravel and short reset for a Gen 5 and he delivered exactly that. He will tune your trigger as you want it rather than one size fits all. I like Vanek and DK triggers also.
  2. I let several LEO Firearms Instructors try 1 Gen 5 Glock with a Vanek Kit and 1 Gen 5 Glock with a Johnny Glocks kit and they preferred the Johnny Glocks trigger.

    zev pro connector?

I used to buy Zev connectors by the dozen but quit buying them years ago when I received several dozen bad connectors which I had to trash.
  4. That only reduces the trigger pull an average of 4 oz.
  5. Check out the Gen 5 Vanek Trigger. It is similar to the Gen 4 and quite different from other Gen 5 triggers.
  6. Yes, the 4# Wolff is basically the same as a Zev that is "labeled as 2#". Wolff makes 4#, 4.5#, 5#, 5.5#, and 6# FPS. The 2 most commonly used are 4# with a lightweight striker and a 4.5# with the OEM striker. The 4# spring "may" cause light strikes as well as weak reset or failure to reset with the OEM striker. Anything less than the 4# FPS should be avoided.
  7. I have used many springs including possibly 100 made by Zev. I had this conversation with Zev and voiced my concern for the misleading advertising. I have compared the so called 2 pound spring to other 4 pound springs and they are basically the same. Zev stated that their best complete trigger kit including the so called 2 pound spring resulted in a 2 pound trigger pull weight. I have worked on more than 100 Glocks and tested the trigger pull weight on each one a minimum of 10 times. I am willing to bet $100 No Zev FPS is actually at 2 pounds which would give a trigger pull weight approximately 20 oz. lighter than a 4 pound Wolff spring. Try running a Glock with a FPS that is only 36% as strong as the OEM spring and let us know how it works. Put your money where your mouth is!
  8. That is actually a 4# striker spring. There are no 2# striker springs for Glocks and they would not function properly with one if it was available.
  9. I always do a 10 pull average when I check trigger pull weight.
  10. Your gauge must register much lower than mine. Having done 1,000+ trigger pulls on Glocks I have never had an OEM Glock with a trigger pull weight as low as 4.5#.
  11. Most quality firing pins cost much more than $40 and are not worth it for another 5 oz. reduction in pull weight.
  12. I did not see it on the HK American website.
  13. Good chance it is the non EOM firing pin and possibly a 6# trigger spring.

    Glock Gen 5

I am using a OEM Glock - connector and a 4.5# Wolff FPS on Gen 5's and they work great just like they do in the Gen 4 models.
  15. I tried the OEM Glock minus connector and it works great. No reason a LWD connector should not work.

    Home trigger work

JNW, The 4.5# FPS and a 6# trigger spring will reduce your trigger pull by approximately 16 oz. and the heavier trigger spring may weaken your reset in a Gen. 4 Glock. Where did the rest of your weight reduction come from?
  17. Check the firing pin for adequate contact.
  18. Better off polishing the OEM trigger bar.
  19. Correct, I revised and installed a Gen 3 housing with pre and over travel in a Gen 4 Glock as soon as the Gen 4's were available.
  20. A 6# trigger spring in a Gen 4 Glock may cause trigger reset issues which gets worse with lighter firing pin springs.

    New VP9 compact !!

Should have a VP9 SK next week.
  22. Those so called 3.5# connectors are actually 4.5# which lower the trigger pull weight by approximately 16oz.
  23. No, it is in reference to a 6# trigger spring.
