  1. Do not dry fire without dummy rounds. Do not use 155gr. ammunition on a regular basis in a .40 pistol. This applies to all pistols. At least Glock fixes or replaces the pistols. Why do people dig up 4 year old threads?
  2. Make sure you have a good fit at the firing pin and trigger bar when you install a Gen 3 trigger in a Gen 4 Glock or it May Double with 1 trigger pull.
  3. Never had the plating flake off one.
  4. I have never seen one like that after being polished. Keep an eye on it and see if thre plating flakes off.
  5. Like bulldog009 I have always received great service from Glockworx.

    4# Striker spring

Am I the only one who's ever had a problem with 4# spring and light strikes? Normally you will not have a light strike with a 4.0# spring using a LW FP and American made factory ammunition if you change springs on a regular basis. Same goes for a 4.5# spring and OEM FP. I have obtained good results with Wolff FP springs when changed at 10,000 rounds.

    4# Striker spring

Yes, the heavier spring will be more reliable and reduce the trigger pull weight less. Your OEM FPS is 5.5# and for every 8.0 oz. you reduce the FPS you reduce the trigger pull weight approximately 5.0 oz. If you go lighter than a 4.5# FPS with the OEM FP you May have light strikes.

If you pull left/right at all it is normally away from the trigger finger hand.

    4# Striker spring

Your so called 2.0# spring is closer to a 4.0# spring and your so called 3.0# spring is closer to a 5.0# spring.

    4# Striker spring

Your FPS is actually a 4.0# spring.
  12. GunBugBit, You may want to drop the 6.0# trigger spring if any of your Glocks are Gen 4.

    4# Striker spring

The 4.0# firing pin springs work best with a lightweight firing pin. The 4.5# and 5.0# springs normally work well with an OEM firing pin if changed on a regular basis. I use Wollf FPS and change them every 10,000 rounds.
  14. As you reduce the firing pin spring weight by 8 oz.you also reduce the trigger pull weight by approximately 5 oz. A 4.0 # firing pin spring should reduce the trigger pull weight approximately 16 oz. below a 5.5 # firing pin spring. Changing your 5.0 # spring to a 4.0 # spring will reduce your trigger pull weight by approximately 10 oz.
  15. There are 3 firing pins for Glocks. 1 dash is for .380 and 9mm. 2 dash is for .357Sig, .40 and .45 Gap. 3 dash is for 10mm and .45 ACP.
  16. I could name a few that I have tried but DK Custom Triggers would be a good place to start.
  17. hey man. i'm just saying that if he wants to mod out his innards to keep an extra eye on the service interval. 10-4.
  18. Stock meaning OEM unaltered parts. Once they are altered they are still OEM parts but Not Stock. I work on Glocks on a regular basis.
