  1. OEM Glock minus connector. 4.5# Wolff firing pin spring. OEM firing pin polished. Polish firing pin safety. Avoid the 6# trigger spring if it is a Gen 4, May cause trigger reset issues. Federal ammunition is easy to ignite with lightweight firing pin springs.
  2. Old, weak, disabled shooters have difficulty with hard to rack slides and heavy trigger pulls in some pistols and both can be enhanced and remain reliable.
  3. I agree with the factory trigger spring but a 4.5# or 5# FPS helps to reduce the trigger pull on a range pistol.
  4. With a name like Polymer I would think you could modify a small piece of polymer.
  5. Make a Gen 3 Housing work in a Gen 4 and you got the Ultimate Feel.. I did that with the first Gen 4 Glock I purchased 6.5 years ago.
  6. I don't think it's the extra power trigger spring on its own. That combined with a light firing pin spring will possibly cause reset issues. Just a guess but you are probably running a 4lb spring or something right? If you are running a 4lb striker spring it's probably best to use a stock trigger spring. If you have a heavier striker spring I think you can get away with the extra power trigger spring. The striker spring is resetting the trigger. So if that's weak, and then needs to battle a heavier trigger spring it's going to reset the trigger with less force. I am no armored. Just what I'm thinking after experience with different triggers, springs, kits, etc. Correct.
  7. I have worked on many Glocks and all functioned properly then and now.
  8. Almost any Glock will run with the OEM firing pin and a.4.5# spring with most primers. Most will run with a 4# spring with an extended lightweight firing pin. Change both springs on a regular basis. What ZEV calls a 2# firing pin spring is actually a 4# spring. The firing pin and channel need to remain dry, Do Not Oil.
  9. I saw one of the early Zev triggers do the same thing and the LW Striker was quickly replaced. Zev replaced the striker with one that worked quite well.
  10. "I Heard" it only takes a few minutes work and no aftermarket parts to make a Glock fire several times with 1 trigger pull. You will then have an illegal pistol.

  12. If you do this make sure to use a pencil torch to heat up the area you want to bend before trying to make any adjustments. Glock trigger bars are quite brittle if they're not hot. This is about the only way you can "tune" a fire control group to your particular gun. Glocks are pretty loose on tolerances anyway so the exact same parts will act differently from gun to gun. Use heat until cherry red, bend and let it cool. That would Ruin the tempering on the part. You would lose all hardnessSent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk It works well and I have never seen one fail.
  13. The OD of a OEM Glock .40 barrel is approximately .020 larger than a OEM Glock 9mm barrel.
  14. There are a few differences but the short answer is the DK has less travel and a great break and the Vanek has a great break and a lighter trigger pull.. People like different triggers and there are several good choices. I own the three you asked about and several more.
  15. After trying many my 2 favorite Glock triggers are DK and Vanek.

  17. As stated not enough engagement between the trigger and firing pin.
  18. I tried a LWD locking block in a like new Gen 4 G17 and it still shoots left with the rear sight centered.

    Trigger question

This.As others have stated, gen 4 guns are hit and miss when using extra power trigger return springs. I would swap everything over, then check your reset and make sure that the trigger safety is engaging when you remove your finger from the trigger. If the trigger safety passes a function check with the tti spring, great. If not, swap it with the factory and function check again. Trigger safety working properly and good trigger reset are two different things. Safety can be in good working order and still have weak reset.

    Trigger question

I would not change the OEM trigger spring because the extra power ones have been known to cause reset issues in Gen 4 Glocks.

    VP9 Production mods

I had Bill Springfield work on a VP9 and later had the match parts installed. It started with a trigger in the 6# range and now it has a smooth trigger in the 4# range.
