I read the same post. Also read the new Glocks will be announced the first week of 2019.

    G43X

    Rumor is a G43 X 10+1 plus a slim single stack 9mm G19 size called a G48 and possibly a G19 size .22 called a G44.
  3. Glock parts numbers prior to the Gen 5 models was not the same for the .40 and 9mm firing pins. 9mm was GLO49 and .40 was GLO4270.
  4. I agree Memphis Mechanic.
  5. I would prefer the Glock pistol that is 3 times as accurate as the other Glock pistol..
  6. Did you try a Quality Trigger such as Vanek, DK or Johnny Glocks?
  7. If you clean the everything and change the 4.5# FPS every 5,000 rounds you should be GTG using Federal ammunition or primers.
  8. Same here and there is nothing wrong with Preventative Maintenance.
  9. For carry what J-Rob said Trijicon HD XR.
  10. I do Not like the NY triggers and do not want my semi auto pistols to have a heavy trigger pull.
  11. Install the sights from your Gen 4 Glocks on your Gen 5 Glocks. Stainless will rust, but much slower than carbon.
  12. What Zev calls a 2# spring is a 4# spring and what they call a 3# spring is a 5# spring. A Glock will not properly function with a 2# or 3# FPS.

    Gen 5 Trigger work?

It is very common to have weak reset with the 4# FPS also. YMMV

    Gen 5 Trigger work?

I would pass on the 4# FPS due to possible light strikes unless using a LW FP.
  15. Changing all the springs every 10,000 rounds can not hurt anything and cost very little. Leave the other items listed alone.
  16. I would think that is common knowledge on This Forum.
  17. You can dry fire forever and your trigger will never be as good as a quality aftermarket trigger such as Johnny Glocks, DK, Vanek etc.
  18. The trigger bar modification alone reduces the trigger pull weight approximately 16 oz. with no other changes.
  19. I have the same Johnny Glocks trigger with a rolling break and it is hard to beat for a range only Glock.
  20. Average about 5oz. difference between the 4# and 4.5# FPS.
  21. Your 4.5 spring should last a long time, just change to Federal primers.
  22. I tried their triggers in Gen 4 Glocks and I preferred Johnny Glocks, Vanek , DK and Joe D Conversion triggers.
  23. Over polishing or rounding of the firing pin lug may be the issue.
  24. My last DK trigger was in a Gen 4 that I sold when I went all Gen 5.
