  1. I have the hardcore blacked out and my bullet recipe is 124gr MG CMJ, 8.1gr HS-6, 1.160 oal. With the comp and three poople holes I am getting about 173pf.
  2. My load for my Trubor was (sold it) 124gr Montana Gold, 8.1gr HS-6, 1.160. At nationals the power factor was 173. My own chronograph results was giving me about 175pf. That load is soft shooting and accurate.
  3. This is my recipe also. In a Trubor 174PF and in my CK Arms (3 popple holes) 172PF.
  4. My first open gun was a Trubor, I bought earlier this year. I replaced the extractor (Brazos), I changed the safety (Phoenix Trinity), firing pin (Brazos), slide stop (Brazos), hammer group (Brazos) and had a zig racker installed. It runs great. I just got my CK Arms on Friday, the only thing I added was a *thumb rest [generic]*. This thing is tight and runs like a scalded cat (southern humor). This gun is super tight when you get it. I put a 100 rounds through it and it loosened up quite nicely. My Trubor is my backup gun until after the Nationals; it is going to get sold to purchase another CK Arms. Everyone is right, I did the math and with aftermarket parts I am at the price of my new CK Arms. I am just going to order an MBX mag and that is it. GO the CK Arms route, you won't regret it.

Where are the serial numbers located?
  6. Which TTI spring and follower did you get to fit the MBX mag?
  7. +1. If he is no prepping his brass then than one round that jams or won't feed is probably a piece of brass that was shot out of a Glock.
  8. Jim will get it running. Jim worked on all of my guns, he knows the brand. He sold me my first 5 Tanfoglios.
  9. Here is the link: http://www.mannyusa.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=MU&Product_Code=Futuristic_Magnetic&Category_Code=Holsters
  10. If you are shooting limited then the Manny Bragg holster is the way to go. As for thumbrest, that will be subjective to the shooter.
  11. Who is a good dealer to get in contact with to order one? I'm thinking about either a SV or an Akai Custom.
  12. Have you chrono'ed those loads. I was loading 121's with 7.4 WAC @1.165 and getting 174 PF. I currently load 7.8 with 115's. 7.5 seems more than needed for a 124? Sarge, two questions. Why JHP over CMJ? I currently use BBI, I thought about switching back to MG for open; is there any performance gain? I know the MG's are tougher than coated lead. Thanks.
  13. Good luck with that. Most guys that see I'm running a CZ are terrified that there's no passive safety. 2011s are in the same boat being that with most custom 2011s the grip safety is pinned. Most ROs that I have talked to don't count the grip safety as a legal safety device since most often than not its pinned. Still doing the Tanfo/2011 debate myself I was doing the Tanfo/2011 debate and I went with a Trubor 9mm. My biggest determining factor is the amount of parts and the number of gunsmiths. I think I made the best decision for me; so much so I looking at getting an Akai Custom. I went to his shop and holy crap; his custom builds are very nice. On another note, I don't understand pinning the grip safety. If you grab it then it will shoot; that's one mod I will not be making.
  14. I had a *thumb rest [generic]* thumbrest and I took it off my Trubor. The dot move to much for me. The Trubor has a piece to rest your thumb on and I prefer that. The STI DVC has it also; my dot barely moves. A thumbrest is not a necessity.
  15. Is it 376 or 357? 357. I edited my original post just now when somebody questioned it as well. There are some shooters who never use a true Cmore battery because of cost and hard to find. Amazon has them for $3 per battery.
  16. Yes they can. I am using a 124gr BBI with HS-6 for 9mm major.
  17. Power pistol runs well for me.
  18. I am set for 25 yards. I want to be ready in case of a long stage.
  19. +1 on this load. I'm using 124gr BBI making roughly 170-174 pf in a Trubor. Coated 124 right? Lead in comp? Coated and no lead in the comp.
  20. +1 on this load. I'm using 124gr BBI making roughly 170-174 pf in a Trubor.
