  1. I bought the main spring housing from Dawson Precision and it went on with no fitting needed.
  2. +1. I have to send a 170mm mag back because it didn't work in my open gun. Adrian worked with me to try and get it working but my gun just doesn't like it (nothing wrong with the mag). As the others have said you can't go wrong.
  3. Your gun will be extremely dirty but it will be a soft shooting load.
  4. This is exactly why they are accurate and fast. This is ideal Now that you say it, it does make sense. Thanks Sarge.
  5. I have used them in an open gun and they were good to go. The only reason I am not using them now is my barrel is a tight .355 and the bullets were .356. I had no problem and they were very accurate. They are also very fast bullets in an open gun. When I use up my current lot of MG 124 JHP, I will be switching back to BBI.
  6. A Dawson Ice magwell on a Glock make reloads easier. I know a lot of people who shot Glocks in Limited and you should see their reloads. Look at Shane Coley's videos.
  7. I have an Akai also, run the Brazos Super Tuned or SV mags. You can not go wrong with the Brazos mags. I have 6 of them and they haven't failed me yet. I bought a MBX mag and I have had nothing but trouble with it. First it wouldn't drop free and now it won't feed properly. I think it is the spring and the follower but I'll play with it later.
  8. I have the RTS2 on a Akai Custom and it has stood up nicely. I ran it in the FL Open without any issues. There was one stage that was dusty and this thing was clear and bright unlike my old slide ride. I must admit the DP Pro looks interesting but I will stick with the RTS2. As mentioned earlier the slide ride is not perfect. On my first open gun I went through about three of them in one season; cracked diodes, bad circuit board and not holding zero every time the battery was changed and during a match. I have none of these problems now.
  9. +1 for the Henning FP. It just works!!
  10. I use the Dawson SNL and they are all legal. What tubes were being used? I use STI tubes. Truthfully, the STI tubes with TTI internals and a Dawson basepad will get 28 and 22 for 9mm Major. The only problem I have seen with TTI basepads are that sometimes the basepads are not flush with the bottom of the tube.
  11. With a Dawson +1 SNL base pad and TTI followers and springs, I can get 29 but I stop at 28 + 1. I know some guys get 30 but I'm not going to push it. I have a MBX mag coming and I am going to see how 30 works in that one.
  12. +1 on what bradsteimel just said.
  13. By any chance did you change the mount screws on the C-More? They are two long!!! Those screws should be flush with the frame. Don't shoot the gun until you or a smith corrects those screws. Yeah I added a GoGuns Gas peddle. The screws need to be shortened a bit but its not as bad as it looks in the picture. I think it looks worse due to the shadows and oil. In any event, the problem predates adding the gas peddle though and there are no marks on the screw tips indicating that they are making contact. +1 on this. Check your slide to see if it has any grooves dug into it by the long screws. Just a thought.
  14. I feel like I need to break out my coat and gloves.....lol.
  15. Don't forget they are shooting steel loads.
  16. Suprisingly, these numbers match on two seperate guns. Those numbers came from a Trubor I had. 5 inch with no popple holes. Currently, I am shooting a CK Arms Blackout, 5 in barrel, 3 popple holes and I think a CCG comp, 4 vents. The PF was pretty much the same. Here are some chrono results from my CK open gun using 8.1 and 8.3 grs. this was shot in south Florida and the outside temp was about 83 degrees. CK Arms 9MM Blackout Chronograph.pdf
  17. 8.1gr HS-6, 124gr MG CMJ, 1.160, 173PF.
  18. What springs are you using for minor. I'm trying to help someone out.
  19. Thanks! Is there a big difference between CMJ and FMJ regarding reloading? You will get virtually no smoke with the CMJ's. Some FMJ's have the exposed lead base that will smoke when fired.
  20. I am thinking about switching to 115's from 124's. I load my 124's at 1.160, what is a good length for 115's?
  21. I use BBI also, my recipe is 125gr BBI, 8.0gr HS-6, 1.160 oal.
