Open is definitely faster but with PCC the shots are easier if that makes any sense.

For some strange reason my micrometer drifted. I moved from FL to MD and I didn't take the humidity into account. So I did my usual 10 drops to calculate but when the drops got into the 20-30's I started to notice the deviations set in. I took everything apart and I also noticed that my powder funnel was not clean at all, so I cleaned it up. I then reset the spreadsheet for my micrometer and now everything is good to go. I was loading at 3.8grs but since I switched back to 124gr MG, I bumped up the charge weight to make sure I got the MG's covered in both of my GMR-15's. I know they tend to be slower than most JHP.

Correction. I cleaned and checked my 1050; reconfigured my loading data and then rechecked my N320 loading. I am switching back to N320 because now my drops and loads are dead on. My deviation is +/- .1 on the drops. So now my current PCC load is 4.2gr N320 @ 1.130; this gives me about 135-140 PF in my GMR-15.

I have a quick question, I usually shoot 124gr MG JHP and I recently switched to Blue Bullets , 125gr round nose, to give them a try. After a practice session I noticed I had a lot of lead in the comp. The crimp on the round is very light, I'm using 4.2gr of N320 @1.130 and the PF is about 135-140. My question is; is the comp leading normal and I just have to get use to it? I do not want a comp full of lead every time I shoot my GMR-15 and I am thinking of going back to my 124gr MG's to solve this problem. Am I being to OCD???

Most powders are dirty at lower velocities. I also use HS-6, which I have for Open, and it is also very dirty. I can tell you that N320 is not that dirty compared to other powders. HS-6 is a very slow burning powder and it is very accurate plus you get the added benefit of the gas working the comp. All of this depends on the PCC you decide to go with.

Blue Bullet 125 gr round nose @1.130 over 4.2 grains of N320. I use this load for PCC, Production and IDPA.

I ran the UH-1 last year but then I switched to the 510C; then I immediately switched back to the UH-1. I like the clean sight picture and large window. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the 510C I just liked the UH-1 better. With that reticle, hold-overs are no problem. I have it sighted in for a 50/200 yard zero; so hold-overs are pretty much mindless. I do use a vortex razor on an offset. I use it for extreme leans and maybe some close-up hosing on a short stage. My vortex is sighted in for 10 yards. I did this to keep me from defaulting to it. I have a laser but have never used it in competition. Bottom line there is noting wrong with having an offset as a backup. Using a large window optic is a good idea but there will be the occasional lean that would be easier with an offset optic.

I clean after every outing. I started this when I shoot my open gun; it is a habit now.

I tried the 510C, green, on my GMR-15 and will there was absolutely noting wrong with it; it just was not the one for me. It was light weight, clear and rock steady but it was just something missing. I went back to my Vortex UH-1 which I shot all last year. The one thing I will miss is the ability to switch between he circle and the dot.

Make sure to watch the metering of N320. A few guys on here, as well as myself, have had problem with N320 not metering properly. I load on a 1050.

Did they switch to Gen 2 or Gen 3 MPX's? The reason I ask is because my Gen 2 was eating up triggers; this is why I went with the GMR-15.

+1. I use it for 9 Major and now I am using it for minor. I tried N320 but I could not get it to meter properly in my 1050. Use it and have fun with it.

I had this same problem with my 1050. Unfortunately for me, I found this out at Nationals when I failed the chrono by 3%. The crazy part is that when I first started using N320, all my drops were dead on but somewhere the drops got sporadic. I switched back to HS-6 and my drops are dead on.

I used the Vortex UH-1 but being an open shooter, I found the sight picture to be a little to busy. Don't get me wrong, I could still use it but I found myself worrying about what part of the optic to focus on, so I went back to the MRO. I struggle between what optic I want to go with this season. Both the dot and circle have their pros and cons.

I switched to the Vortex AMG UH-1 and I really like it. The wide field of view sold it for me.

Regular glock mags will be fine.

HS-6 for the win. I tried CFE-Pistol and it was okay but I always come back to HS-6.

I have a MPX but I went the other way with 2 JP's. For me, the cost of triggers was killing me. In one season I think I went through about 4 different triggers. My JP just runs and with my loads the kick is not bad. I am using a PRS Gen-3 on my JP's.
