  1. I think the rest of the technique for shooting distance with a light bullet highly affected by wind at 300 on out is more important than high magnification. Four power of clean glass at 400 is probably good. Spend money on ammo and work positions and trigger technique. This is more observation than what I can apply. It is so rewarding hitting at distance one for one.
  2. If this is the wrong place for this, admin's do your thing. My 15 year old boy and I love the Denver Bronco's and shooting. We live in Missoula, Montana and the Broncos are going to play the Sea Hawks the third weekend in August. My plan is to find someone to sell me three tickets and shoot the Sunday match with my boy in Marysville after. Sooooo, any season ticket holders out there who don't like paying for preseason games at regular prices? PM me or tell a friend. I will make it right for anyone who can help me.
  3. I was taking a carbine class with a buddy and we were shooting uspsa metric targets at about 65 yards and had been transitioning to our handguns but Seeklander said not to worry about it at this distance. I was using my duty Glock with about a 7 lbs trigger and called a head shot to my buddy. One alpa, in the head, not to be reproduced.
  4. 11 years a M. Never thought it would happen. I shot 70ish % at nationals and that is who I am but it still feels pretty great.
  5. Gross motor, big muscles to grip the gun, fine motor, small muscles to press the trigger. One way to sort out your issues is to fire groups, both dry and live. You are asked to do many things shooting our sport, but it comes down to accurate shots in the shortest time possible. I think Flex gave you the answer that works for many. You will find out about your grip shooting small steel, and never forget that accuracy must include what you do with vision.
  6. If you look at their home page they are not doing phone business at all. They have been good with me though a little slow in shipping. Their prices have stayed pretty stable during the rush.

    Christmas Gifts

Nothin makes me happier than shooting with my son. Enjoy the bags.
  8. New 24" snow blower under the tree and a little snow to blow with it.

    Thanksgiving

Much to be thankful for this year, family health, new job, great family, got my card and the blessing of good friends. Plus, I love me some turkey.
  10. I have purchased the $400 version from Walmart over the years and never got less than 3.5 years out of them. I am over 200 Lbs. and run 3 miles a day, 5 days a week. At the end they get loud though. I am on my third one since 2002. Not sure you will get 10 years out of a more expensive version.
  11. I always want to make sure there won't be a bunch of zero's on a stage as that does not help sort out the distance between shooters.

    Useless Laws

Yea, I hate those things that saved my wife's life. Wow, that sounds like I am arguing for seat belts and I am sure that is against the rules of the hate forum. Damn me.
  13. What I found was that if I do not grip with my left hand but rather put it in the "catch position with my left index finger on the trigger gaurd, I can push up and shoot just like my draw. When I grip it down low it chages things.
  14. You might check the law enforcement academy in Kentucky. They tend to have memorabilia and you might find a good picture or even a holster.

    It's Shark Week!

If you don't get it "Krup you".
  16. I bought one this spring and replaced the fire control parts, safety, added a Dawson gap magwell, some Wilson 10 mm mags (extended pads that have to be ground down just a bit) as well as some Tripp 10 mm mags, a full length guide rod and a SV trigger with a short curved insert. Mine ran from the beginning. I use the Barnhart wide grips and it feels just like a limited gun (good for me). There is a bit more recoil than a limited gun but I still like it a lot.
  17. A teacher in college had a desk but no chairs for visitors. He was the original 2 minute meeting guy.
  18. I tapped a role pin out of a gas block and into my kenwood HF ham radio tonight. Should have seen it coming at my age.
  19. I'm sorry that happened, but this is what I think about every time someone tells me to buy a $1800 3 gun scope. Burris has a good warranty but it sucks to have it gone for a while. At $400 you could add a second one that could go on a backup rifle. I can't imagine how you would protect one though.
  20. Answer to: what is the easiest way to loose 120 Lbs?
  21. I can appreciate wanting common reticles for distance shooting. My shooting partner and I went with moa reticles on our tac rifles so we can spot for each other without changing thinking, though he uses a Night Force (wow). At least for me the hold overs in the MTAC works great for both 55 and 69 grain loads with a little work. The best thing is when I throw my ar in a barrel I feel less anxiety.

    Snap.

I broke one of my lever arms and no questions just great service. They will fix you up.It sounds like you need a second reloader for this kind of problem.
  23. I have. I expected to like the Vortex better as I have a 4-14 pst on my 300 and love it, but the MTAC was every bit as good of glass and a far superior reticle. Save $100 and have accurate hold overs.
