  1. I like the way you think. Too funny! I didnt think of the steel being an issue. Humn
  2. Id like to see it as such. As for the fun factor, I like fun as much as the next guy. A contest of skill can be fun in itself. This sport use to lean more toward skill than the always seen hose fest these days. (Not a bad thing at times)
  3. I've mentioned this stage several times to MD and I always seem to get beat down over it as they believe it would be "Too hard, discouraging, get me beat up, etc". Whats your opinion? Would you cry a river or maybe find something you need to practice more? (I didnt see where to post a poll, would be handy) Three strings. Open targets. 1st string: At signal fire 6 rds at T-1 , mandatory mag change and engage Pepper popper, freestyle. T-1 & PP will be at 50 yds. 2nd string: At signal fire 6 rds at T-2 , mandatory mag change and engage US Popper, strong hand only. T-2 and USP will be at 25 yds. 3rd string: At signal fire 6 rds at T-3 and engage steel plate, weak hand only. T-3 and plate will be at 10yds.
  4. Agreed. I fear I was guilty of a lot you mentioned. One day you just wake up and realize that all the sacrifices arent worth chasing the dangling carrot. At your peak its hard to compete with shooters of near limitless resources. Throw in a few of "lifes" moments and its hard to get near 90%. Sometimes its easy to forget its just a game. Now THATS funny!!
  5. Anybody driving to the Gator Classic from CO? Might ask a favor....
  6. Exactly. I know all the above is tongue in cheek, but seriously....look through most any thread on here. The percentage is high. Be nice if a guy could answer a question that could save him some headache without weeding through 30 post. Courtesy is dying at an alarming rate. PS I'll take pie please.
  7. Ever ask a question about say, reloading 155 grain bullets in .40 cAL, and a zillion people pop in with their favorite loads and opinions for EVERYTHINNG BUT 155's in 40 cal. This could be about a dozen different topics, but you get the idea. Some people must really like to type. Rant off.
  8. I hear ya. It ought to be a law a man can chrono in his yard with proper backstop regardless of neighbors. Working loads when trips to the range are scarce are a PITA.
  9. I looked around a bit and didn't see any tips, but shy of changing powders has anyone found a way to slow the indexing on a Square Deal? I occasionally sling quite a bit of powder. Before you say, slow down...
  10. Ming- That sounds like what Im wanting. Its a lot easier to raise it a little if needed. Retread- Thats the one I was looking at. Was hoping someone here was using it. Thanks.
  11. I mounted a railway on a 10/22 using a typical weaver base. Now my cheekweld places my eye to low to see the dot. I found where Allchin makes a flat plate to mount the same set up, lowering the dot. Anyone using this set up on a thumb hole type stock? (Higher comb than a factory stock) Curious if this puts the dot at a more useable height. (Yes I know this is subjective.) Anyone using another choice for same?
  12. From my Dad: "I'd like to buy her for what shes worth and sell her for her asking price." Me to HR: "I'd rather hire a menstruating blonde monkey than someone with engineer in their resume. You can't tell them anything." My all time favorite was from the movie out of Africa. In a conversation where a douche finds out that Robert Redford had been bedding his wife. The husband confronts him and states "You mighten have asked." Redford replies, "I did.....She said yes."
  13. I think that would work. If you get a chance, check out the light. Im such a fan of it, they should pay me. Its perfect for those who use an "IPSC" grip.
  14. I dont have a short dust cover gun in my possession to measure, is there room to machine a slot for an Insight Technologies T3 type light, if one was so inclined? Not interested in any other type of attachment....
