Shooters Connection Tournament Series​ is just the best I've seen. The Pro is a bit larger if you want to carry a lot and the Ultra is smaller but still larger than most bags on the market. I have the Pro and at most matches I pull the inner out and just carry that. Works great, you will not be disappointed!

Interesting comments from everyone. I hope this has shed some light on the subject for Haraise. Of course everyone is encouraged to weigh in with their thoughts but at the end of the day, one of the people on this topic is the one I would listen to closest. Any time you see some thing from kurtm read it a couple of times. Then write some of it down. Kurt Miller has been there, done that on any thing you can think of with a shotgun. It is really cool that we can have someone like Kurt take the time to help us out. I'm not discounting what Mike Cyrwus from Accurate Iron says at all and having him build your M2 would be fantastic. Having him commenting here is also awesome. Between Kurt and Mike you are covered. I just want to say thank you to these guys for passing along a life time of knowledge. If you are not familiar with who these guys are do a little checking, I think you will understand why I say when they speak listen up.

The Salomon's are great shoes. My wife and I are both outdoor nuts as well as USPSA competitors. We had both suffered from plantar fasciitis last year. We were both wearing Keen shoes but figured our problem was caused by something else since we were wearing quality shoes. We even bought new Keen's thinking ours may be worn-out. Finally a foot doc explained the importance of having shoes with a flexible toe box. The Keen's we had were very stiff bottom shoes. We decided to try the Salomon Speedcross shoes and our feet felt better right away. We have since bought other Salmon shoes and love them. Great arch support, padding in the heel and overall fit. We did find that they run small and for us a half size bigger was perfect.

Great job Pat! As always informative, fun and fast paced. For all of us that enjoy the sport take some extra time to help another shooter, they will keep coming back and we'll have a place to shoot.

For the magwell I have tried them all and like the Dawson well enough but put a SVI/Infinty on the latest gun and it's really cool. As always they build great stuff. You can find it at the sviguns.com website under new products. It is a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for from SVI. For mags the ones that have worked the best for me are Dawson.

I have been shooting 147gr lead bullets with WSF the past year and it works great. OAL of 1.145 and a PF of just under 130.

I think it's great that there are classes for shooters that want different things from shooting USPSA matches. I don't have anything against the shooters that want to shoot limited or open guns. High cap frames and all the mods that make up guns in those classes don't fit into what I like about our sport, that's just me. I like 1911's. I like to set them up to what I think is their full potential. I really don't care if my finished gun weighs 44oz or 42oz. I don't care if the magwell I chose means the gun will not fit into a box - think about that one. Really, you are going to get a box and put my gun in it, goofy. Oh yeah don't forget to put your holster where someone else wants you to wear it and use one they tell you to use. Could you imagine the look you would get from the founders of our sport on that one. So for me I was happy to find L10, I don't have to use a hi cap gun and as long as I make major no one messes with me, perfect.

We have the squad preload on tables up against the berm. All shooters preload at the same time, no shell in the chamber and chamber safety indicator must be visible.. After the guns are preloaded you cannot touch them until you are called to the line by the RO. If you change your mind about something after you preload you must wait until your are under the supervision of the RO when it is your turn to shoot. The RO may allow you to make a choke change but you would have to unload first. If you want to change the choke do it before you load at the preload table or safety area, again the chamber safety indicator is in place . Seems to be working fine and has allowed the match to move along better.

Zappos has the Salomon Fellraiser for $110 in womens sizes. My wife has been competing in the Salomons for about a year and loves them. She says they are one of the most comfortable shoes she has even had.

Love my Inov8 Mudclaws. The cleats are much deeper than most so it depends on what you need for your club. Comfortable and very light

I like it. Yeah it's different and more geared for TV but that's the whole idea. I still like going to matches with 600 yard shots that doesn't change. It is just a twist on what we have done for a long time. I am the 3-gun match director for our club and we have a couple matches a year set up like these - total high speed hosefests. They are always the best attended matches. My really good shooters like to see what they can do against each other in this format and the average shooters like it because they are hitting things and having fun. Not to mention I get a lot of the wives and girl friends out that day because it's more fun for spectators to watch the high speed action. I hope the show survives. I love having guys come up to me at our pistol matches and tell me they have been watching 3 Gun Nation and want to come shoot our 3 gun match now. Any thing that promotes our sport in a positive way helps bring more people into the sport and that is what's all about.

No problem with WSF and 147gr 9mm loads. Tried loads with a PF from 129 to 140 all at 1.145 OAL out of a 5" 1911. Accurate, reliable, consistent - what's not to like

Worked up various loads for a 5" 1911 using WSF, 147gr cast bullets. No problem with an OAL of 1.145. Settled on the 3.5 load. Shoots, feeds and feels great. There is a big difference in the PF from barrel to barrel, work your way up slowly. Schuemann barrel was 140 PF with 3.8gr and stock Springfield barrel is 134. 3.5gr = PF of 129 3.6gr = PF of 134 3.8gr = PF of 140

Bullseye and Clays for me these days. Used 231 for years also, no problem.

If I'm at a multi day match I will clean the feed ramp and chamber after each day. I clean the top end of my 1911 after 500-700 rounds and the bottom at 1000-1500 rounds. New recoil and firing pin spring after 3000-5000 depending on the gun/loads. It is not a big deal and I like to see how things are holding up.
