  1. Wait 45 minutes and try again. It's cornfusing to some people that Arizona and California aren't in the same time zone.
  2. The Adventure of Baron Munchausen Popeye with Robin Williams The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi
  3. I suspect some of their problem is being located 15 miles from Poopland, err Portland.
  4. The simple fix costs about 35 cents. Go to the nearest Home Despot, Ace, etc... and pick up a 10-32 Nylock nut, or bag of nuts. Replace the 10-32 Kep nut that is on the measure with the Nylock nut and tighten just tight enough to prevent the pin on the actuating arm from coming out of the white square drive block. Repeat for all your other powder measures. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-10-32-Stainless-Steel-Fine-Nylon-Lock-Nuts-4-per-Pack-32111/202706355
  5. Use a lighter weight oil or a dry lube like Hornady One Shot CLP (not the case lube). Make sure your magazines are clean and dry. Keep your loaded magazines warm, either inside your jacket next to your body or in a pouch with a couple of hand warmer packets.
  6. Nordic includes a full length spring with each extension, so you can shorten the new spring about 2 feet (just kidding, but probably close). They also say you can use the factory magazine spring. From the Nordic website: https://nordiccomp.com/categories/beretta-1301-tactical-mxt-extension-kit/ Beretta 1301 extension kit in a single package for Tactical model. Features MXT magazine extension designed exclusively for the 1301 Tactical Beretta 1301 extension increases magazine capacity to 7 rounds (capacity determined with 2 3/4″ shells and may vary with shells of differing length) Barrel clamp kit includes 1301 Tactical-exclusive clamp, Picatinny rail, and QDA swivel attachment Utilizes factory magazine spring (spare generic spring included)
  7. Like Tony said, most likely you're just not getting the last round past the shell latch. The new 1301 Tactical have had the new bolt release since 2018 that prevents double feeds or releasing rounds from the magazine just by bumping the bolt release. To release a round from the magazine now requires lifting up the front of the bolt release. Jump to 1:10 for the bolt release
  8. LOL! While wearing ear pro! That's why I like the 3 Gun guys. We have one guy who brings an Urban (no ghetto) Blaster built into his cart and the entire squad rocks out all day. He parks his cart back away from the start position far enough that it is just background music, not club loud.
  9. Call Tony at 830-557-5433 or email at answers@kiddinnovativedesign.com and ask. Tony has been pretty responsive to questions from me.
  10. The peanut gallery snickering is usually the tip off for me.....which I usually ignore, to my deficit.
  11. If you want to work on focus, have your local match competitors go ahead and talk to you, tell the RO jokes between strings, etc... Use the locals to learn to ignore distractions, then when you go to bigger matches, you'll be ahead of the guys that have to have perfect silence during their runs. Watch some of the videos of Rob Leatham or Jerry Miculek cracking wise to the RO while making ready or between strings. They both have great mental focus.
  12. Sakai shot every day for a month and the rumors were something like 1,000 rounds a day.
  13. There have been a couple of local airsoft USPSA/IPSC matches here. A friend went to one and shot some video, it looked like fun, so I went to the next one. Unfortunately a bunch of Skirmish Timmys showed up and pretty much spoiled it for everyone with their attitudes. I guess shooting fast at small targets is hard or something.
  14. I like that idea! Also less of a trip hazard, nothing like scoring targets/running the tablet and tripping over wall bases, but I don't think I'd like to stub my toe against one.
  15. I use airsoft quite a bit. Like WFargo, I built an airsoft 'Open' pistol identical to my Steel Challenge pistol, it even says 'Limcat' on the slide (Sorry Johnny!) and used it to teach my wife for her first Steel Challenge match. It worked great, I have a full set of scaled down Steel Challenge targets that I set up in my backyard. We went step by step from un-bagging to Make Ready, just like it was a real match with a timer and used all the correct commands. After several weeks of training, she shot her first match and did quite well. I like using airsoft for first shot drills on the Challenge targets, but I did make one mistake....I let my wife shoot the airsoft plate racks and Texas Star, so I had to build another 'Open' airsoft pistol, so she could have the 'Limcat'.
  16. I forgot about the Laugo Arms Alien pistol. It's a gas piston delayed blowback pistol. I do not know the slide weight, but I doubt it is much less than 9 oz. https://laugo.us/
  17. It's been tried several times as complete uppers for 1911's, and I believe at least once as a complete gun that only used a couple of 1911 parts. They used several different methods, but they all wound up with at least 9.5 oz of reciprocating weight. Any less and reliability suffered. There have been several designs similar to a S&W 41 or P38 with a fixed barrel and a only a small section of the slide reciprocating using a locking lever like the P38. Some had dual recoil springs like the P38, others had a single recoil spring. I think the only one that may actually be in production is the Hogue Avenger and the reciprocating weight is right at 10 oz IIRC. Slide velocity under 10 oz is too high for the magazines to keep up and if the slide velocity was reduced too much, the lightweight slide didn't retain enough energy to reliably return to battery. http://198.57.214.134/main/overview/avenger.html
  18. Go to the settings menu and select 'Trigger Level' and adjust the trigger level to be less sensitive - 1 is most sensitive and 8 is least sensitive. I generally have mine set between 3 for handgun and 5 for rifle.
  19. I think the next time I have to move, I'll just make a 5 mile move up into the California hills, wait for the place to burn to the ground, leave the pile of ash where it lays, take the insurance money, and move somewhere too wet to burn!
  20. It is best done to your shooting buddies after they have just made a smoking run and have engaged all the targets! The deer in the headlights look is priceless. Then make sure to issue a 'STOP' command if necessary before they re-engage some targets.
  21. The two small nicks in the disconnector rail are from over inserting unloaded magazines during dry fire reloading practice.
  22. Which means what, for those of us not familiar with the local vernacular?
