Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. I will see if I can get a courtesy check as recommended. I am running factory mags with the smallest Taran basepad.
  2. Thanks for the confirmation from everyone. The match does have Limited Optics so I might just change my class when I check in. I am not running mag extensions so I hope that works.
  3. I am shooting my first major match with my 320 Max this weekend. The way I read the rule book Appendix D7 Carry Optics 22.3, which says no "No OFM or aftermarket external magwells". I interpret this to mean I must remove the small additional metal piece that was on the gun from the factory to avoid being moved to Open, right?
  4. Thanks for the insight everyone. I appreciate it.
  5. I have one of your Dawson Edge's from a few years ago. I have a couple of issues with the slide and feed ramp. There are a couple of nicks. Are these items repairable if I send them back to you all? I have attached a couple of photos.
  6. Hey Mads What happened on "Peek Out"? I was there watching today getting ready for tomorrow. I liked what you had drawn originally. I realize when it comes set up time things can change. Looks like an amazing match. Can't wait to shoot it in the AM.
  7. Thanks for all of the supportive comments and empathetic stories. Regarding Serial #'s - I hadn't even gotten it out of the box and the company I bought it from did not open it and record the serial number before shipping it. All the police have in their report is the make and model. I am an insurance agent and my own agent to boot. It is covered under my homeowner's policy BUT with the $1000.00 deductibles I carry that means I would get back $1000. However, my company has a CashBack program which pays our clients 25% of their home and auto premiums back in cash if you go three year's with out a claim on either policy. I had a hail claim a couple of years ago and the clock started over. If I turn this one in I give up about $2100 in CashBack checks over the next 3 years. I will likely not turn it in since I will spend 3100.00 to get back 1000. Time to cut it loose and move on. There are worse things that could have happened.
  8. I didn't have my gun on me at the time. But I would have made one hell of a scene if I came out and saw it in progress. I bought a replacement that same day and now have an empty box which I am tempted to go back and use as a decoy. I would need to use a different truck since they might be suspicious otherwise.
  9. They took the info and gave it to their lost control specialist. Unfortunately they are out sick until next week and apparently have no one else to review the footage. When I called for an update the manager said they would be lucky to get a make and color of the vehicle and an approximate description of the person(s) responsible. They said the quality wouldn't be sufficient to see a license plate number. Why the F*&^ do you have cameras that provide worthless images? Obviously the cameras on the exterior of the building are not a deterant at all.
  10. I have been without power since last Sunday at 4pm. We are in the country so no electricity means no water since the well pump is out of commission with no power. On Tuesday I brokedown and bought a generator. Since both my wife and I work from home our respective businesses have also been at a stand still. I ordered a $2000.00 generator which had to come from Indianapolis. It showed up on Wednesday and I went into Columbus to pick it up at about 11am. I had to stop at Home Depot on the way home to get gas cans, some cable and a lock to secure it at my house. I parked 4 spaces from the front door and walked in at 12:30. I came out 20 minutes later and the damn thing is gone. The generator was lashed to a pallet with a 1 inch metal strap and it weighed nearly 300 pounds. In the middle of the day I didn't even give it a second thought. For those of you who know Columbus I was at the Brice Rd/I-70 Home Depot. Not a great area of town but in broad daylight who would have thought. To top it off the lady working the Brat Cart right next to my truck said, "I saw two guys who looked like they were in a hurry and they were having trouble getting it in to a small SUV." Hey dumb ass, doesn't that seem odd to you. I guess if she was smarter, she wouldn't be working a hot dog cart in the Home Depot parking lot.
  11. He is just so smooth and calm. Always impressive to watch.
  12. SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was just sick. The cut he opened on the other guy's eye was gigantic.
  13. Under the clothes section - I would get Under Armour Underware. Very good at preventing swamp ass. It will most definately be hot and chaifing (sp) is never fun.
