  1. As long as you aren't handling the loaded magazines, no excuses needed for having a belt full of ammo at the safe table while you 'mess' with your gun, it is perfectly within the USPSA rules.
  2. +100 on the magnet. Pick up a D77-N52 or D77-N42 disc magnet like this 7/16" x 7/16" magnet and stick to the side of the spring clip that holds the feed tube from the case feeder. Guaranteed to stop all magnetic cases. https://www.kjmagnetics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=D77-N52&cat=168
  3. This isn't as cheap, but works great on the 10/22. https://gunsmithertools.com/shop/ols/products/xn-gunsmither-1022-bolt-bar-lcb7302vsa
  4. Are you sure the case in the magazine was the case that ruptured? Does it have a firing pin mark? If not, it was blown open by the case that had an out of battery rupture and all the unburnt powder is from the unfired case in the magazine.
  5. Sadly, I have a serious light fetish. I've got Surefires, Streamlights, (and others I won't mention), but lately I've been using Olights and really like them. https://www.olightstore.com/tacticalnew.html So far after a bunch of night matches, they have been very reliable, both for function and retention, very good light patterns, rechargeable options, good price points, and innovative designs. Okay as innovative as you can get with a light. I really like their quick detach adjustable mount. I've loaned out one of them several times and no problems even with abusing them in dump barrels. For indoor use I would recommend less than 600 lumen, especially if your walls are painted white. The splashback is blinding. https://www.olightstore.com/olight-pl-mini-2-black-1.html 600 lumen, $90, adjustable QD mount https://www.olightstore.com/baldr-mini.html 600 lumen, green laser, $130, adjustable QD mount If PA can beat those features and prices, get the Streamlights, they will be fine, otherwise look at the Olights.
  6. Rather than the screws and hose, you could use some quick release Clevis Pins like these. $6 package of 10. https://www.mcmaster.com/90156A263/
  7. Get one of these Ballistic Tools Swage Gauges and you won't be having to stop to re-swage any cases. They also make one for large primers if you're going to reload large primers. https://ballistictools.com/store/swage-gage-small-primer-pocket
  8. Try a 0.050" or 1.27mm. That's what most 2011 overtravel screws are.
  9. Since Zucca seems to be interested in expanding their product line, send them photos of your cart and see if they are interested in making dedicated shooting carts. They could make models for the shotgun sports like Sporting Clays, rifle sports like CMP, PRS,etc, 3-gun, etc...
  10. Several reasons, they get the name recognition and some of the reputation. Plus they get all the years of experience of CK/Freedom engineers and machinists that have eliminated all of the learning curve for MPA. I don't know how many, if any of the CK/Freedom employees have moved to MPA, but I would suspect that there is at least some support from CK/Freedom for any start-up issues.
  11. For the USPSA 2Gun National Championship, it would be the USPSA President Mike Foley. For the Cobalt Kinetics Practical 2-Gun Championship, it would Max Leograndis.
  12. No, but Dillon's suppliers can be that far behind. If they are single sourced for the major components in the primer system, they are stuck in the same Covid boat as other companies. Ford cut back production of F150's because of chip shortages.
  13. I know the PCC/Pistol match Max is trying to put on in Utah has some weird rules, but I haven't seen the rules for the USPSA match. Are these the rules you are talking about? https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/291530-2021-cobalt-kinetics-practical-2-gun-championship-by-max-leograndissups-crew/
  14. The Midway bags are not USA made. Midway's bags are made in Vietnam and China.
  15. The Tactical Solutions bolt does NOT interchange with 10/22 bolts. It uses dual springs and guide rods. The Kidd and Volquartsen are interchangeable with standard 10/22 bolts.
  16. Most of the local clubs here do paint between shooters, but not necessarily between guns. When I shoot a rimfire pistol, then a rimfire rifle, I opt to skip painting between guns. It is just to speed up the match. When it's 100+ degrees, it's nice to finish early.
  17. Congratulations! Thanks for your contributions. Consider expanding on your "different match math for improvement" as a magazine article because it brought up some excellent points.
  18. That was probably so he could RO a Steel Challenge stage from his umbrella chair whilst sipping a cold one!
  19. 1500 unprimed cases for $160, currently on backorder, but it has been in and out of stock like most of the other suppliers. Just keep checking. https://www.shellshocktechnologies.com/shop/cases-reloading-tools/1500-new-unprimed-9mm-luger-nas3-cases/
  20. A lot of the action cameras can be set for either wide angle or standard view and the resolution on the newer 4K video cameras is good enough for publishing. So frame grabs from a 4K action camera set to standard view will work. Or some of the Sony action cameras have remote controls and will take photos of high enough quality for publishing. Same here, I think many have a misconception on the size of the staff working on the magazine. They have a staff of 6 people to publish a magazine and for most of them it's only a part of their regular jobs at USPSA. So the idiots in the peanut gallery respond with "they make a lot of money off the magazine and ads, but want the members to do the work so they make money", or "they produce a crappy magazine that we pay for, why should members be expected to contribute to their magazine that they sell", etc... According to the 2019 financials, Front Sight sold $247K in advertising, which is peanuts, and even if it was profit, where does the profit from any product made or sold by USPSA go? It goes for running the org and for putting on the National Matches, NROI, etc... USPSA is non-profit 501c corporation. I like the magazine, and I think like most I read it mostly in the bathroom. (I didn't want to say member and bathroom in the same sentence, DOH!) Again, I say to the whiners, shut up or put up. If you don't like the magazine, either select "no magazine" when you renew or write better articles. Same as for matches, if you don't like the stages, either find another club or build better stages, or shut up and shoot the stages that other people built for your lazy, whiny butt.
  21. I think I'm probably going to be on the iggy list of some guy that misspelled his name by replacing the "C" with an "R" or banned....one or the other.
  22. Is that at the Post Office? My old rural Post Office had the same flooring.
  23. That's where this would be handy. https://www.harborfreight.com/15-lb-capacity-telescoping-magnetic-pickup-tool-95933.html Yes, legal is some 3 gun rule sets.
  24. Wow! Just wow, are you sure you haven't misspelled your name? Like maybe there should be a "C" in there? LOL! So yes, as you stated there have been a lot of disruption in all of our lives this past year, lock downs in large areas of the country, many of us have lost family and friends (not all necessarily from the Coof), and lots of technical issues as well (try replacing an iphone that stopped working when at every point the response is "use your app" or "on your device" or "email us") Ackkk.
