This! I use a Hat Cam pretty regularly and in many videos it appears that I've swept my weak hand unloading, or manipulating a prop, or that someone is standing at almost 180 or LESS. I also have a camera on a tripod or a someone using my cell phone to video and when looking at the third party view, my hand is nowhere near being swept and that idiot standing on the 180 was behind the 200 degree line. The guy in the photo above is nowhere near as close as it looks in the video.

If I have to step outside the safe area to where my cart is parked 4 feet away, I'll leave the slide locked back or a chamber flag inserted. Just to give other people that warm fuzzy feeling that my gun isn't going to jump up and start shooting. If I have to go further than that, I bag it and put it in my cart. Not that, that has any actual affect on making it harder to steal.

Mesh walls - fingers through the mesh for support
Ming the Merciless replied to Jollymon32's topic in USPSA/IPSC Rules
I've been shooting USPSA for a long time and other than a few stage builder/RO's who have gotten 'gamed' like the OP, I haven't seen this (clearly) causing issues. I doubt that it will be addressed by DNROI because it really doesn't need to be. The majority of shooters understand the concept behind mesh walls as stated by IVC. Three pages of posts and only one person thinks it's a problem. -
Remember this is an Italian gun. When an Italian says 8 inches, he really means 5.75 inches.

Mesh walls - fingers through the mesh for support

Well, if the 'imaginary' plane can't stop the magazine, it doesn't stop my hand from passing through to grab the magazine, it can't stop my fingers either because they are attached to the hand that just grabbed the magazine. It is just an imaginary plane that can magically stop bullets from passing through it. -
They probably checked your ISP for location. If you're using a VPN, that may confuse them as well.

Thoroughly test new equipment before a match...
Ming the Merciless replied to alex_uspsa's topic in Match Screw-ups
For the next couple of months, be sure to look inside your shoes for dog poop or thumbtacks before you put them on, carefully turn down the sheets all the way before getting into bed, if the smoke detector goes off in the middle of the night be sure to turn on the hallway light and look for the aforementioned thumbtacks before running down the hallway barefoot! -
Amazon's biggest problem is they don't ring the bloody doorbell. I had to reposition my video doorbell because it's easier to walk up my neighbors driveway and throw the package on the end of my porch rather than walk up the winding flagstone path to my front door. Now at least I get a notice on my phone. To UPS/FedEx/USPS credit when they have actually come to my house they have actually rang the doorbell before beating feet back to the truck and laying rubber before the dropped package hit the ground and somewhere between Ding and Dong of the doorbell.

What problem is it causing? If your PCC is accurate and reliable, don't worry about.

Beretta 1301 Comp - Burst Firing
Ming the Merciless replied to Beers78n9's topic in Shotgun - Technical
Take a look at Practical-Shotgun.com http://www.practical-shotgun.com/beretta-1301-hammer-removal-and-hammer-strut-failure http://www.practical-shotgun.com/beretta-1301-trigger-removal The video does not mention an important part when removing the (lifter) carrier spring, which is Item #74 https://www.midwestgunworks.com/beretta-1301/carrier-spring-washers.html on this schematic https://www.midwestgunworks.com/beretta-1301/parts.html. You will see in the video that it stayed in place after the removal of the carrier spring and carrier spring guide, then when the trigger housing was turned over it fell out. http://www.practical-shotgun.com/beretta-1301-trigger-group-reassembly-hammer-strut-replacement It appears the disconnector is not always catching the hammer. It works very similar to an AR15 trigger and is subject to the same causes of failure, dirt, weak spring, worn/broken disconnector hook. -
Top 1/4 of 9mm brass broken and stuck in barrel
Ming the Merciless replied to Chapo's topic in General Gunsmithing
Cerrosafe will work to remove case separations. Your description is partially correct. Cerrosafe shrinks while cooling for the first 30 minutes so it will be smaller than the separated case and will not remove the stuck case. After ONE hour of cooling, Cerrosafe will be exactly the same size as your chamber/stuck case and you can drive the stuck case and Cerrosafe out with a squib rod. Between 1 hour and 200 hours the Cerrosafe will gradually expand until it is .0025" larger. So if it doesn't pull the case out after one hour, re-cast and wait several hours and retry. But before you do all that do as Kneeling Atlas recommends and pull a new .40 cal Bore Snake through from the muzzle end. Plus your barrel will be extra clean and shiny! -

That's because SV borrowed/copied/ or bought the concept from somebody else. I remember reading about it, but can't find it and don't remember who it was. -

Quite a bit, if the chair is the standard metal folding chair, you're tall and have bad knees. -
Marketing USPSA-- from 2020 PCC Nationals Feedback
Ming the Merciless replied to ltdmstr's topic in USPSA/IPSC Shooting
Most of the USPSA matches within a 3 hour drive of the Bay Area (California, not that other Bay Area) have gone to a 1 and a half day format. Match is built Saturday morning/early afternoon and shot by 3 or 4 squads Saturday afternoon, with another 60 to 90 shooters on Sunday. That's twice a month for most clubs. The other 2 weekends a month are the IDPA, Cowboy or Steel Challenge matches, so the ranges are fully utilized every weekend and on the odd month with an extra weekend or 3 day weekend, that's generally either a rimfire match or 3 gun. Oh yeah sign up online at least a month before the match. Just in case you're not keeping up with the trends, print magazines are struggling and have been for quite awhile. And before you say it, no it's not from lack of quality content. -

Marketing USPSA-- from 2020 PCC Nationals Feedback

I heard an excellent quote "Anything is possible....when you know nothing" So please prove us wrong, great minds of the past did NOT let a few naysayers dissuade them, so don't let less than a dozen people on this forum stop you. Go forth, become the biggest, greatest Match producer, & promoter we've ever seen, then you can come back and say "I told you so!" There are a few people within the industry you can start talking to about doing this that are both top level shooters and who have promoted and produced Major matches. Start with Phil Strader, who started the Pro-Am steel matches and has worked at several major gun manufacturers. Then talk to USPSA President Mike Foley who used to work for Shooters Connection. Shannon Smith has already stated he's willing to talk and Shannon has put on some of the best and biggest matches around. Or you can just say the big bad mean spirited toxic mens have hurt your feelings and you're going to go sulk. -

Beretta 1301 Comp Pro - Thoughts?

Where did you find the new Pro lifter? I put a Limbsaver 10702 pre-fit recoil pad for Berettas on both of my 1301's. It's a good fit and works very well. https://www.amazon.com/LimbSaver-10702-Classic-Precision-Fit-Recoil/dp/B008KUV11Y -
Wuss! Just kidding, how many people trashed that stage by going too fast? How many trashed it by going too slow? How many just plain trashed it? We used to have a local stage groaner, oops builder, that would do stuff like 45 yard weak hand plate rack through an 8 inch diameter pipe mounted 6 inches off the ground during the rainy season.
