This is as far as I could stand.
  2. I here ya. We get hammered pretty good almost every year. My wifes car was totalled by hail in 2004. Here's a pic I took of what we typically get but I have seen them twice as big. Gary
  3. Here's my contribution. Gary
  4. Good luck folks. I wish I was going too. TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES AND VIDEO! Gary
  5. Yep, but my scales are burgandy/black instead of green.
  6. There's this thing that happens to me when I am shooting a stage (only about 10% of time, wish it was 100%). A friend and fellow shooter described it as a "tacticool moment". When it happens, I see everything and it's really cool. I see the bullet and I see the hole open up in the paper of flatten out against a plate. I see wisps of smoke dancing between the fiber optic rod on the front sight and the sight itself. Fire spews from the cylinder gap like tiny solar flares. My shots echo in my muffs but I hear nothing else. Once I think I actually heard the bullet strike the cardboard. The best thing is seeing the timer when it's over. It'll be my best run of the match. Gary
  7. No picture but I carry a Benchmade 735SBT Ares Axis black/Burgundy
  8. Excellent job! I'd like to see the "outtakes" because I know there has to be at least 30 minutes of'em. Gary
  9. Wow, the only reason I would ever touch a shooter or their gun would be to prevent something REALLY BAD from happening. If it's a new shooter, I will stay closer to them than I would an experienced shooter but, not too close. Gary
  10. Diet Dr Pepper coming out of my nose, hurts.
  11. I seat the primer pretty deep but haven't hurt my hand doing it. A little evidence of crushing but not totally flattening the surface of the primer has given me good results. In fact, I was having occasional light strikes before seating this way. YMMV
  12. I believe it's an airsoft. Hopefully, he never tries that with a real pistol.
  13. I believe this is what you need. Call S&W tomorrow to get it. 94 218140000 $0.51 X FIRING PIN RETAINER PIN
  14. Yesterday, while brassing at a plate match, I noticed that 9mm brass from loads using TightGroup are significantly hotter than 9mm brass using bullseye or VV320 (not sure about that number). In fact, I don't recall ever picking up 9mm brass that was so hot. These were standard pressure loads fired from stock guns. In my own 9mm ammo, I've been using Bullseye and been very happy with the results but I do have a lb of TG that I was planning to test. Will using TG in my 9mm loads offer ANY advantage over Bullseye other than making hotter brass? Thanks, Gary
  15. I have shot a pile of 357 mag ammo through various snubby's trying to find a balance between accuracy and "less brutal" recoil. The best results came from the Remington 357 mag 125gr Golden Saber. At the time, I was carrying a 340pd which adds quite a bit to the masochism of the snubby/magnum recipe. Now, I carry a 686+ snub and it has enough substance that full power 125gr 357mag Gold Dot is quite manageable. YMMV Gray
  16. I have Heinie Straight 8's on my G21 and 23 and Sevigny carry sights on my 34. I can't decide which I like better because both are great.
  17. I feel your pain. I bought my wife a Nikon N75 when it first came out and paid a pretty penny. Now, it sits in a camera bag on the shelf. I took it to a used camera store about a year ago and the guy directed my attention to the hundreds of film bodies on the shelves behind him. He didn't even want mine. Gary
  18. Here are my two. (4" and 3"). I no longer the own the 325PD that's pictured. The red SDM fiber optic front sight works best for me and I like the Hogue wood with finger grooves. Gary
  19. A friend of mine made the mistake of having a large quantity of mags on the table at the same time. His wife saw them as was less than pleased.
  20. I have tried quite a few different vests and the SigTac is my favorite. It's lightweight and has the pockets right where I want them. Gary
