  1. It's also useful to slow heart rate, I think that was the original reason for the Olympic ban, it was the cross country skiers that also shoot targets (don't know that sports name). Once they stop skiing, while on that drug, their heart rate slowed very quickly, and they could make those shots easier. Drug trivia, I am a pharmacist.
  2. If RO interference due to the above circumstances, then I would vote reshoot. Anything else.....don't think so.
  3. Yes, 650 with small pistol primers last week went off. No damage to me at all (was wearing hearing protection too, by chance), new stuff from Dillon to replace blown stuff, 2 DAYS LATER!
  4. Just thought I'd post about my brass cleaning habits to see what you guys think. I have the big Dillon tumbler with top on it, so no dust around it (I only run it with top on), but it is inside my shop. When separating media, I go outside, and position myself where the wind is taking all dust away from my breathing holes. I use the Nu finish car polish, so when messing with media, if I even catch a whiff of the smell, I hold my breath, and walk upwind for a second. In my mind, I treat it like poison gas. I guess I'm wondering if any of these habits correspond to anything you guys with high levels do? OH, I don't shoot indoors.
  5. It's called "essential tremor" there is a drug called propranolol that has an indication to treat it. The drug is old, and cheap as well. Might check with your doctor about it. Could help.
  6. Same here, wish the rest of the world would treat people like Dillon does.
  7. When I tried to look at the forum index, my mind shriveled in horror! Finally, back to my normal 50 daily doses of Enos forums. I work in front of a computer all day, and everytime I catch up on the work, I have a peek at the interweb, first e-mails, then VNC on enos, then maybe the weather if I'm curious.
  8. I see a lot of intimidation with newer shooters about stars. I never got scared of them in the beginning, and therefore never had any issue with them, but I do remember all the talk about, "oooooo, the texas starrrrrr, ooooooo" If this kind of thing gets in your head, you will have some degree of difficulty with it. Aim, squeeze, aim, squeeze, aim, squeeze, aim, squeeze, aim, squeeze. you'll be finished, and likely hit most of the plates. Don't skip it though! It's not like the plates are zigzagging or bouncing around or something, I mean, you know where they are going. Like the little green master Jedi says, "Do, or do not"
  9. Looks pretty fast, but I'd go ahead and learn with 4 at a time. It looks similar to another technique where you grab 2 shells end to end, and stick'em in in a similar fashion.
  10. Eyes, ears, guns, ammo, gun belt and clothes to start with. Can't say I've ever made a list.
  11. It's also my "go to" button here. Without it working I feel lost Well, almost lost.
  12. I don't have a powder check or a bulletfeeder, but I've been visually inspecting the powder as the filled case arrives at station 3. I was pondering the same question, but thought about doing a visual as the case comes off of the powder die at station 2 while priming, anyone doing this method?
  13. Stuff called "Prep-All" for getting metal completely clean for automotive painting is another option. Use it to do my final clean on match rounds, removes EVERYTHING, and smells very similar to zippo fluid, but cost about $6 a quart.
  14. I think you should figure out where your placement is when you mount up an AR, go to a gun store and try one on, and you should know pretty quick what your needs are gonna be. Unless the eye relief is like 6" or something. Or, get both, and sell the one you don't like. But, you've tied up quite a bit of money that way.
  15. I didn't specifically ask for Heavy metal, but in Tac Irons RDS seems good to go, per Ken Flood.
  16. It put a little black smudge on the ceiling, and some broken plastic pieces on the floor. Aside from the loud bang, everything is ok. If it were to happen with a 1050, you'd have to pay for new priming system. No lifetime warranty with the 1050. I reload in my shop, but have a "gun room" in the house.
  17. I emailed asking about RDS being allowed in irons division, and was replied to with a "yes", so it seems the rules will be manipulated some.
  18. Yea, guess it wasn't worth starting a new thread. Update, I got the parts 2 days later, went home and loaded 1,000 rounds without a problem, and in just a couple of hours So glad I went with blue.
  19. I use different color pmags, and just write my name on them in sharpie, that way I can think "green one is cracked" etc. vs mistakenly using wrong number.
  20. Bobby at freedom gunworks is dabbling in custom rifles, might check with him.
  21. I've placed an order for BBI, and didn't get any communication, but did debit my acct a few days ago. I was told they do orders in "batches", and spend more time making bullets than returning emails, all in all, I think it'll be worth the wait with them. Oh, and I heard they were good bullets! If you go with Montana Gold, shop over at Manny Bragg's website, www.mannyusa.com good luck, let us know how it works out.
  22. The current Kīlauea eruption started in 1983. I knew it had been active, but something "different" than the usual was happening with it.
  23. Seems like I saw one of the volcanoes in Hawaii acting up on the news just before the quake in Japan....coincidence?
  24. Good stuff Sean, my plan this year is to shoot ONLY Limited in pistol, and in Rifle, also I plan to only change divisons each year (if I want to), traditionally I have hopped divisions waaaaay too much, and it has hurt more than helped I think! Good luck bro!
