  1. I can't find any data on this and was wondering if this is dangerous. I've ruled out clays, but a buddy had some n310 he loads under 147grs, his load is not published either, but it works good for him. thanks, kyle.
  2. I have only loaded 5 rounds of this stuff, so you all don't worry toooo much. Only three went thru the pistol. I knew I was exceeding published load data, but did so in very tiny increments, no overpressure signs were evedent. I just wanted to ask if anyone else had done this safely. I'm a bankwalker, but I know when to say when. thanks, kyle.
  3. So sorry, I reckon that was an important clue..... 9x19
  4. That is basically my question. Has anyone done this safely?
  5. Just worked this load up, I have a lot of Clays, so please don't point me to another powder. I am shooting a 2.75" barrel, so to make minor I'm using just about to 3.8gr Clays under a 124gr rainier coated flat point. velocity is ~1020 fps PF~127 Any one see any problem with this? All of you wisdom is thanked. kyle.
  6. Are these the same? I saw these three lined up right next to each other. Just don't want to get one then realize " I should have asked " Could someone tell me the differences, if there are any? thanks, kyle
  7. If so, please explain. I heard that 1.25" was the perfect length. Is this true of all types of bullets? RN, semiwadcutter, HP? thanks, kyle
  8. The gun is a Kimber Stainless II. The gun only has a couple of thousand thru it. The ejector was bent left so slightly that brass was running down the right side of it and getting hung about every 3 rounds. I have had trouble in the past mailing guns back to mfg, so I decided to fix it my self. Tried to bend with a vice, but broke it off...... Now, where would you guys/girls look for an after market one of better quality? And Why? best method of fitting it? I would prefer it very tight to prevent this type of malfunction from happening. thanks, kyle
  9. I have a kimber stainless II with the factory combat sights, but I would prefer an adjustable target type rear, and a fiber optic front. I was told the slide would have to be milled to fit a rear target site. Can I do this sort of thing with hand tools? Any ideas? thanks, kyle
  10. My FA old bowl design bit the dust after 2 yrs. I'm gonna get a Dillon. I have been nothing short of impressed with their other products, so I'll give them some more business.
  11. Anyone else ever done this? Mine was with a 9mm 124gr JHP out of a Beretta PX4 Storm, I'm guessing about 1100 fps, but we'll never know.
  12. These shot 880fps in my glock 17, didn't try the sig yet
  13. Well I finally chrono'd some loads today. thanks for the advice everyone, 3.2gr of 231 under 147gr precisions at 1.166 col, shot at ~750fps in a sig 229 and ~780fps in a glock 17. I went home and loaded up some with the 3.5gr load and am going to measure these very soon. I'll post an update
  14. I thought I saw somewhere that zero bullets were plated and not jacketed, this could be what is causing the larger diameter, but I am speaking from memory which tends to get wardsback sometimes
  15. First post, Hello all, I am gonna try some cast bullets in 125 and 147. This will be my first time to load cast. I have experience with several different jacketed bullets. Anyone have good loads for this using 231, or any good advice for that matter. Also, any loads welcome. I gotta do something with all this powder. Thanks....
