She passed the CAT scan.. they see no discernible damage..but there is swelling. she is responsive, can move her eyes and fingers in response to commands. they just did surgery on her leg..her femur was broken in three places. Stayed in a non medical induced coma for 23 days. 8 years later, unless you knew her before the wreck you wouldn't know she was in one. God has a job for your neice still. I got to talk to her tonight..she is drugged up..but her voice sounds so good. she still has a few surgeries to get through but they moved her out of ICU and into a regular room. lots of mending, healing and rehab. eerw Posted July 29, 2009 Author Share Posted July 29, 2009 She was in surgery last night with an orthopedic specialist. 10+ hours. got call she was being prepped at 1:30pm and finally got the final call at 3am this morning that she in recovery. anyway..surgeon plated all her broken parts.. prognosis is she will go home later this week and on crutches...
