No.343
The title says it all. She has jewelry she has never worn. I hardly see her in fancy clothes. She doesn't like foo-foo drinks. Wow, I just remembered why I'm still married after 24 years. Anyway, I need some ideas.
yoshidaex
How about a gun? just kidding. I'm not sure what to by the wife either. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see what other people suggest.

Kingman
a series of little gifts that are sweet and show that you remember things are nice. Think of the first time you met, was there something that stuck at one point that was just like this is a reminder of us. The other thing that was good is a spa day. SA Friday
A pre-paid day at a spa? A cruise? A night at a B&B someplace really nice? (I would throw in a really nice dinner and ensure the B&B has a great view and good breakfast.) He own island in the pacific? More info, I might be able to narrow it down. Kids in the house? Price range? What does she do to stay sane?

Shooter Grrl
I can't help you, I'm not a normal wife. I want a gas stove, dishwasher, bullets, brass and a trip to the florida open! But a massage/spa day (in vegas?!?!) would be okay too!
oraysor
"A new kitchen with granite countertops and new appliances.Diamond earrings." Did that and she still "I want's " so I think she should take up shooting and have a new custom gun for Christmas........ May have a new address by the new year

Did that and she still "I want's " so I think she should take up shooting and have a new custom gun for Christmas........ May have a new address by the new year In the past three years, she bought me a Limited gun, two Glocks and encouraged me to build an AR with lots of cool options. The AR is her favorite gun. Loves the way it looks. I love that woman.

DMS42
What worked for me was two things. One was to listen for subtle hints and the other was to talk to her friends and relatives. These worked most of the time. One year it was a new winter coat and another year it was a short, light axe (a regular axe was too heavy).
oddjob
I found that a gift card is one of the worse things to get for a wife. If you get a card for $100.00 for example....,She will buy $200.00 of whatever & say it was part of the present! It's cheaper to get "X" and stay with it. Gift cards for wives are evil in nature!! Having stated this......I'm still a wuss and a gift card may still be a possibility.
dcarter
I'm getting my bride a new vacuum!I figure it'll make her life a lot easier around the house!! Oh, Man. I would never try that unless I enjoyed sleeping outside in my car. Gift cards work but if you're going to do that get her something "sweet" to go with it. It doesn't have to be expensive but something you picked out yourself. All that said, I have no idea what to get my wife. I suck at picking out gifts! Flexmoney
Not gonna get you a diamond ring That sort of gift don't mean anything Not gonna get you a fancy car Girl ya gotta know you're my shining star Not gonna get you a house in the hills A girl like you needs somethin' real Wanna get you somethin' from the heart Somethin' special girl ... ...See I'm wise enough to know when a gift needs givin' (yeah) And I got just the one, somethin' to show ya that you are second to none To all the fellas out there with ladies to impress It's easy to do just follow these steps ... RogerT
We spoke about what to buy for xmas gifts to each other, and my wife since fifteen years says - "I'd like a new digital personal scale"! I think I'm going to pass on that wish, it does not feel like a safe xmas gift Edited December 4, 2007 by RogerT
