Zerwas
Just a little updated picture on my pistol I call "Howard" which was built by HSMITH. Still haven't used it a whole lot since I switched to open last year. Hopefully I'll achieve my goals this year and then switch back to limited next year.... Zerwas
Awesome looking gun So does it shoot as smooth as an open gun as Howard said it in one of hes posts? A very positive YES SIR, it sure does. This particular pistol has similar recoil characteristics as a 9mm pistol. I am looking foreword to using it next year! I borrowed this pistol out to another forum member (blue862) and he used Howard to mop up on the competition about a month and change ago. That's pretty good considering he had never touched this pistol before I handed it over to him. Of course it didn't have the nice paint on the grip at that time either so I'd bet it would even be faster now!! hahaha.

A_Med
I can finally add pics of my new 6" blaster to this great thread! It's a Jim Anglin build: STI frame, Caspian slide, and 6" Schuemann bushing barrel. Jim did a lot of slide lightening - most of which is apparent on the outside, and some of which is hidden on the inside. Overall weight w/o mag is about 37oz, and it balance right at the center of the trigger guard. As other happy customers have already attested, Jim's workmanship is really incredible. WoW!!! I want! How does one get in touch with Mr. Anglin please??? Angel
bbbean
I was showing my Jim Anglin 6" to my local gunsmith (Bill Fender), and he was VERY impressed with the workmanship. Bill's built and maintained guns for some of the best shooters in the world (one of his customers just won the NRA Action Pistol World Championships), and he said that Jim's trigger was good enough to give him a run for his money. It took some effort to get the gun back out of Bill's hands!

I had my place in line for Howard to build me one just like it but things have changed and I had to cancel my order. (Howard was great to talk with and work with, my wife on the other hand...) Y. Koester
My guess it that he did that to help with the balance. I wanted it to be about the same weight as a 5 in.
