  1. can I do tactical reloads at will, or have to do emergency reloads in idpa? is it a choice given to the shooter or dictated by the stage description ? thanks,
  2. Is the Tanfoglio Stock2 IDPA (esp) legal ? thanks,
  3. One (multiple times)national champion said, he would prefer a polymer gun over a steel gun for carry optics. An other (multiple times) national champion stated, that you not even competitive if you not shooting these da/sa steel guns. ( given this statement was made before uspsa made any aftermarket triggers legal and adding weight to polymer guns) go figure I guess,
  4. 9mm sight cracked above the windage adjustment screw
  5. around 80K slide cracked by the ejection port rear sight cracked in half on my current stock2 (metal injection molding sights…)
  6. “Delivery expected in April. MSRP TBA.” Regarding to Stock2 per IFG today. We gone from first quarter to April… I like my Stock2 but when the slide cracked EAA wanted $800 for a new slide ( under the lifetime warranty…lol) and now these guys blowing smoke. At this point a Stock2 is a <$2000 gun with the aftermarket firing control parts, grips etc.
  7. @atmar a lot has changed since 2012 ( the last year he won) now you can shoot 60 oz guns, single action Glocks etc.
  8. We “racing machines” (guns) here. Guns do matter within reason. Yes the indian’s skill is final WHEN the machines can perform equally. (yet to hear about anybody who let’s say won a National title with a 45 long colt… it’s muzzle rise/ recoil control/ gun handling would be horrible compared to a modern semi auto, let’s not get capacity involved, this is just an example, and examples are there to point out things, or over exaggerate the issues being discussed see how the bow/arrow does make a difference…) @Cuz @yigal @Halen this above it’s not a personal attack, it is one person’s opinion only,
  9. Are Glocks still competitive against those steel framed da/sa guns? Timney triggers make them basically single action guns also. Or is it only racing stripe on a donkey…? I love how they fit to my hand, and the fact that I could use ANY primers (Timney triggers) wouldn’t have to stick to Winchester/ Federal like those da/sa guys. Planning to go with gen5 Glock17 in carry optics. Anybody have experience with both? How they compare regarding felt recoil, muzzle rise - how flat they shoot compared to a da/sa gun or a G34, gun handling, forgiveness on hard shots etc. I am aware that they are extremely reliable. thanks,
  10. On their website Tanfoglio is not listed anymore. What’s the story, anybody knows ? (there goes the warranty also…)
  11. On their website Tanfoglio is not listed anymore. What’s the story, anybody knows ?
  12. so what’s the weight limit for ESP now? is the Stock2 ESP legal now?
  13. Not my argument pal, Pictures just telling stories...(limited gun stories not production gun stories )
  14. Both of these world class champions “agree,” that a heavy frame is a good thing, when it comes to shooting major. With other words, polymer sucks when shooting .40 according to the pictures... When it comes to shooting minor, they have no options, if they like it or not...
  15. If Sevigny never had that GLOCK scandal we would have a clear answer regarding to plastic vs steel guns. Life would be easier ...
  16. Anybody decided to go back to Glock after shooting a CZ / Tanfo platform? My classifier scores telling me, that for me Glock (G34) was the way to go. I was fast but relatively speaking inaccurate with the Glock With my Stock2 I am just slow.... ( also my training was focusing to shoot classifiers well with my Glock. Currently with the Stock 2 I am focusing on other things....) Glocks just transition much faster without thinking about transitioning fast. (for me anyways) They load faster on the way in, not when it comes dropping the magazine though .... Stock 2 is just easier to shoot it accurately- without thinking too much about accuracy ( in my humble opinion....) I always had the sensation that my G34 shoots softer than my Stock2 with the same load. I had the feeling that the polymer frame just dumpers the recoil better. I am talking about minor ( production) load and shooting here. Limited major would be a different story... thanks,
  17. Hi, What is the shortest production legal trigger? Small hands ... Looking for something what I can easily reach, so it has minimal take up ( I guess) Also I would like to get suggestions for triggers without having much rolling before they go off. Kinda looking for something what resembles more of a 1911 then a glock. thanks,
  18. Is this for real ??? Anybody else has the same experience? am/pm/am schedule should came with discounted Disney World admission then...
  19. So much for that Production 15 round again...
  20. Hi Guys, Been loading on a Dillon 650 ( with a case feeder and a primer filler) Just like to pick up some speed, make more rounds / hour. Wodering if I am better off buying a Dillon 1050 for about $1800 or adding a Mark VII and a bullet feeder to my 650 for about $2300 Sure seating primers on the upstroke (1050) would be nice vs occasionally seating primers high on the 650. ( I do need to seat primers deep to keep the bolo happy.../ kinda leaning towards the 1050 I guess) Relability does matter, when the press is down, due to whatever reason the rounds / hour number goes down... (Don’t feel like forking out money for a 1050 plus a Mark VII...) Any opinion- suggestions are appreciated,
  21. Assuming they put tritium in it with lots of shelf life...Every time when I am about to pull the trigger on a TR25 with red triangle, I find a post (this last one is from pistol forums) that one of the members over there has a TR24 dated 2010 and an ACOG manufacturing date unknown but they both have dead tritium lamps after about 5 and a half years... IMO Accupoints make great daytime outdoor scopes but with no natural lights available to gather or dead tritium lamps they just extra weight on the rifle... So as any other battery operated optics BUT if spare batteries available they can be fully operational as long as batteries are available ...
  22. I can pick up a Steiner M5Xi 1-5 for $1990 plus tax Just wondering if it worth the $900 extra over the T5Xi 1-5 Anybody has any experience with both? I like the rapid dot reticle over the 3TR but I am not sure if I like it $900 more... How is the battery life on those? Just wondering if there's a more wise way to blow approx 2 grand.... For somebody who doesn't really shoot rifles in the firts place... For $2100 out the door I could pick a VCOG but that 1st focal plane is not really appealing to me. Or half the money could get me a Leupold VX-6
  23. Don't take it as an insult, but I strongly believe that fiber optic and tritium equals a disposable scope. [Accupoints are "disposable" optics, when fiber optic gets dimmer in a few years no one is gonna be able to recharge it. Also tritium has a half life of approx 12 years. Meaning 6 years would be 25% loss of the original brightness and so on. Assuming it was new when it got put into the scope and the scope wasn't sitting years on a shelve somewhere before it was picked up by the customer. (personally experienced this with a tritium front sight, ended up changing it out after 4-5 years.) Not sure what accupoints look like inside in a building without natural light though, never had one.] Also came across post about ACOGs loosing their daytime brightness due to the fiber optic getting old I guess.
