The opposite of Lite is Heavy. The customer will intuitively know what to expect when presented with the three choices. Thick works, too.

That said, I like Slide Glide Summer Brew. :)

You could also rename them Slide Glide Open Gun, Slide Glide Custom Gun, and Slide Glide Production Gun.

Slide Glide Solid

as in..."Solid, Jackson" B)

I can't believe no one's come up with the guaranteed way to sell way more #3 than all other firearms greases and oils combined:

Slige-Glide Light

Slide-Glide

Mondo! Slide-Glide Tactical! Extreme! (The one grease that's tough enough for Chuck Norris......)

Mondo! Slide-Glide Tactical! Extreme! (The one grease that's tough enough for Chuck Norris......)

Just adding Tactical allows you to raise the price by $10.

:lol::lol::lol:

Thanks for all the fun suggestions - and the sensible ones too.

"Heavy" just sounded boring, but it's probably best in the end.

So last question: If I go with

Slide-Glide Lite

Slide-Glide

Slide-Glide Heavy

... Should "Slide-Glide" be just "Slide-Glide," or "Slide-Glide Medium"? I'd prefer to leave off the "medium."

Or "Slide-Glide Standard"?

Thanks again all!

;)

I think you have to have some nomenclature for the standard strength Slide Glide. It leads to this if you don't:

"Hello, I would like a vat of Slide Glide please."

"Which one?"

"Just Slide Glide please."

"Ya want Lite, Heavy or Regular?"

"Regular? I don't see a 'regular' in the catalog. Is that the one with no extra name?"

"Yep"

"So, is it in between the other two in viscosity?"

"Yep"

So ya' gotta have a name for it. See? :)

How about:

SG - Lite

SG - Classic

SG - Oprah (Okay just heavy would be fine)

Brian, go technical on 'em. ;)

Make up your own Slide Glide "designator", something like a viscosity number. Slide Glide 40, Slide Glide 60, and SG 80. That should keep people from getting confused about the weight. Then, make the tubes in three different racy color schemes to re-inforce the difference in the three products. In no time, you should have a product who's differences are as well understood as Loc-tite
