W_Buck
Correct, Non beveled 75 SA frame. Not really an issue. Just a few dryfire sessions to get used to it.
SDM
Stuart - Any plans to offer these in .40? I notice on the production list there isn't a caliber specified.
eerw
Can make it in 40SW, not sure how that is interpreted on the Production list.
W_Buck
Got all changes made to LSP I wanted. Swapped out safties and slide stop for low profile version. Swapped 85 trigger for recurve trigger. Swapped adjustable rear sight for TS fixed rear. Swapped serrated front sight for an FO front sight. Added aluminum grips and grip tape. Installed CGW springs, short reset and firing pin. She's ready to rock now.
bigbent
So the LSP is good to go for USPSA production?

SDM
FWIW, Troy says a .40 would be a different gun. Can make it in 40SW, not sure how that is interpreted on the Production list.
IHAVEGAS
Anybody seen a reliable spec on sight radius? Other thing, swinging an SP01 from target to target feels really good, does the LSP feel any different ? Wish they made them in a 40 (no rational reason, just like 40's with minor pf loads). I can't help you with any of those questions other than that Stuart said if you called they could easily make a 40, but someone else said that Troy confirmed a 40 wouldn't be production legal, as a different caliber constituted a different gun. FlightMurse
I really need to find one of these to try out. I owned a P01 once but couldn't get used to the trigger. The CZ grip is incredible though and that is a beautiful gun.
IHAVEGAS
Can you use stock SP01 mags in these? yes..same mags. have some guns ready to go Hmmm, you probably know the sight radius then . A general forum question I didn't think of before was difference in mag well opening, i.e. , is it enough to realistically effect reloading ? jon49erfan
Sight radius would be the same as a Tac Sport.

IHAVEGAS
Sight radius would be the same as a Tac Sport. Hmm, 5.4" barrel versus 4.7" barrel on SP01, allowing for friction and windage maybe something close to 0.70 inches more or less. Maybe.

Hmm, 5.4" barrel versus 4.7" barrel on SP01, allowing for friction and windage maybe something close to 0.70 inches more or less. Maybe. It makes a difference. You'll notice it coming from the XDm 5.25 going to a 4.6" gun. Like I told you earlier, had I known these were approved for Production I would have bought two of these. Hmm, 5.4" barrel versus 4.7" barrel on SP01, allowing for friction and windage maybe something close to 0.70 inches more or less. Maybe. The tactical sport barrel is actually right at 5.1 inches not sure why they call it 5.

Using Garmil's 5.1, it looks like best guess is now 0.40" extra sight radius from the SP01. If the SP01 frame does indeed have a meaningfully better mag opening I'm not sure which difference would be of most use to me. It is a giant thread side track that I do not want to do, but ideal sight radius is an interesting question.
huskerlrrp
According to my handy dandy Mitutoyu 8" digital caliper the IPSC Standard (Tactical Sports) slide with Kensight adjustable rear and Dawson precision partridge front sight is 7.078" and the SP01 with Kensight adjustable rear and Dawson precision partridge front sight is 6.563". I measured from the back of the rear sight blade and to the leading edge of the front sight (surface facing shooter or opposite of the muzzle). These are the same front and rear sight models therefore all things being equal. Long Slide: 7.078" Std. Slide: 6.563"
Kingman
Sp01 with TS slide? Then you'd have the mag opening and longer sights.
