BillL223
I just learned through my Area 8 Director, that the 3-gun Natinals will be in Las Vegas at the Desert Sportsman Club October 13 through October 16.

Precision40
Am I correct in that the 3GN are open to anyone like an Area match where you pay and show up? Or is there a "slot" system like the Handgun Natls?
George
Am I correct in that the 3GN are open to anyone like an Area match where you pay and show up First come, first served. Just enter, pay, show and shoot (at present anyway). -- Regards,
ap3
The uspsa website has confirmed the 3 gun Nationals will be in Vegas October 14-16, but no procedure as to how to get a slot. Viva Los Vegas
ErikW
but no procedure as to how to get a slot. Slots haven't been issued in the past: first come, first served with an entry form and payment. But don't ask me where to find an entry form; the match is eight months away.
ErikW
Anybody know who the Match Director and/or Range Master are? I'm thinking of RO'ing again.

George
Also, there will be no MOR event. The MD said it's a long story I would definitely like to hear that story! I am sure I am not alone here. -- Regards,
outerlimits
according to carl, only 12 stages, not 15. plus, no match hotel yet...same weekend is pga tour, so rooms will be expensive.
Loves2Shoot
hope the berms are a bit higher than the 98 nationals...i was ducking all week! I got tagged on the elevated stage in '98, missed taking out my knee cap by about 2." I think i might have a feeling what vets feel like when they hear fireworks. I was hitting the deck the rest of the weekend.
Tom Freeman
Also, there will be no MOR event. The MD said it's a long story. That blows. MOR goes from a bigtime story in Front Sight, to nothing in just over a year.

ErikW
Pray it's not Arizona Charlie's. Actually, the smart thing to do would be to stay somewhere close to the range. The commute from the strip or near it is horrible. The Suncoast is the closest place I know of (as of a couple years ago) and it's really nice. It is older but cheap, clean and closer to the range. If I shoot in Vegas I don't mind staying there as long as my wife is not with me, then I stay at Mandalay Bay. bgary
I like AZ Charlies!! Just bring your own light bulbs. Not sure what the thought process is, but the *brightest* lights in the room are usually around 25 watts. Bruce
Precision40
As long as they have a good buffet, I'm happy. Not a big fan of gambling, but I love the buffets. In the past, how has the RO match been? Do they shoot all the stages or half?
George
The food at Charlie's sucks too (IMO anyway). It's not anywhere near as cheap as Charlie's, but the JW Marriott golf resort is less than 5 minutes from the range, clean and a much more secure facility. The food is excellent and not over-priced either. 5 stars. My wife found a spa room discount deal there in 2002 and I was lounging in a hot tub at the end of each day before my squadmates were even halfway back to Charlie's. -- Regards,
9x45
JW Marriott is $285 a night for Oct. 13-17, '05. Well, George, you did say it's not anywhere near as cheap as Arizona Charlies.... Makes the SunCoast look like a bargain at $129 a night. The 5th wheel is looking better all the time ( no spa, of course )
