twister
I want to know if WSF is too slow to use in 9mm loads? Is anyone else using it? Thanks for any help, Dave.
DonovanM
I've got 4.2gr behind 147's. Works great.
okorpheus
I'm using it with 147gr lead loads, but haven't chronoed yet, but it runs fine. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

cuzinvinny
According to the Hodgdon/Winchester load data site, WSF works with 115, 125, and 147 grain bullets, and it appears that it will make power factor in all 3 bullet weights.
ZombieHunter
I use WSF exclusively in 9mm - it is the most accurate powder by far that I've found. I love the recoil impulse and use it in all my USPSA loads. Edited March 30, 2013 by ZombieHunter
GOF
3.4 grains and a Rainier 147 grain plated bullet gives me 880 fps from a 4.25-inch M&P. Soft, accurate, and very clean. Edited March 30, 2013 by GOF

pxm142
It's all I use anymore for 9 minor. 3.7-4.2 under a 147, depending on lead/jacket/plated, and temperature. It reverse temp sensitive so I have to crank it up a little in the summer, but it's very soft shooting in all my guns. I heard a rumor that the AA team Glock load uses WSF. mcracco
Shooting WSF with MG 124gr CMJ for a while now. Been using 4.4gr but after using my handy new chronograph yesterday it seems I am slightly under PF. Bumping up to 4.8gr.
8ring
5.2 to 5.3gr WSF with a 115gr Montana Gold FML and 4.8 to 4.9gr WSF with 124gr FMJ were both fine loads. These may have had a bit more recoil that "gamer" loads with Titegroup, N-320, or the like, but they accurate, clean and about in the middle of the recommended load range for those bullets. Fuelie777
I use WSF. I am more interested in accuracy than recoil impulse, since it does not really make that much difference to me. 4.5+ grains of WSF on a Missouri 124b round nose (note all I can get now) is very accurate at 130pf. M-Bear
WSF is one of my favorite powders for 9mm. The only thing about WSF is it runs best with mid to upper end loads. So if that is what you are after then great. But if you want powder puff loads then use something faster.
kingdarb
I use WSF for 9mm and really like it. I switched to it from Titegroup and prefer it.
GoinHot
No problem with WSF and 147gr 9mm loads. Tried loads with a PF from 129 to 140 all at 1.145 OAL out of a 5" 1911. Accurate, reliable, consistent - what's not to like
CeeZer
It's useable. Not as bad as IMR SR4756 or Hodgdon HS-6. I hated HS-6 --> TOO much recoil and flash!
Rockets
Getting ready to load some xtremes 115 and 124s using wsf to try hem in my p99... Anyone here had good luck with them ? I've been using 4.1 w231 for years but someone told me wsf is much cleaner.. Edited July 29, 2013 by Rockets

MRevolutionIX
3.8 grs of WSF under 147 BBIs @ 1.130. Very accurate and cycles my M&P pro reliably.
JimM
It gives me consistent accuracy with 147gr bullets.

MickB
WSF will give much lower pressure for the same velocity compared with W231. For the same power factor, I have observed that WSF will give visibly slower slide velocities and a milder recoil impulse.
