benos
Anyone been watching Curling? Went to a restaurant for lunch last week and it was on. I've seen it several times since - once you get past the silliness it's actually a very cool event. I especially enjoy watching the calm, focused poise of the shooters. Off to do some rule research... be
Skydiver
I know that I had a great time learning the sport. If you get an opportunity to visit a curling center, ask for a chance to give it a try. Not just being the thrower, but also as a skip and a sweeper. Corey
i always thought it was dumb.....but it ALWAYS seems to be one one of my channel that carries the Oympics and Ive been watching it alot and kinda like it now! And P.S. John Shuster may not be the best person to have as the final shooter....Man, he has blown a lot of chances this past week or so..... Stuck in C
I also noticed that one of the Russian woman curlers was one of the cutest women in the Olympics. And in general the female curlers were actually more attractive than the figure skaters. Allright, I admit it-I'm a dirty old man. (The oldest player on the Russian Team is 24). J-Ho
Curling reminds me of a bar game taken to an extreme. Of course shot put is kinda like that too.
The Antichrome
I've gone curling, it's quite fun. It's also harder than it looks, and requires 'touch' (all the guys slammed the stone into the backstop hard while we were learning) It was a team building exercise and company contest for us. First prize was lucrative, so we were curling for blood!

hitman
Trade you, 1 NIB broom and 1 NIB big rock for half your guns, 5 NIB big rocks for the rest. Yes I have watched it, still trying to figure out why. Edited February 23, 2010 by hitman

Big round rock...Dude, there was one in the ditch in Pueblo, right next to where you "parked". It is cool, watched too much. When you are choosing between Hockey and watching the women's British curling team, must be the cold... Edited February 23, 2010 by MarkCO

TRNinTX
My brother in law is from Canada. He and my sister are members of a curling club in Dallas. I called him up last week when the curling was on and had him walk me through what was happening. When you understand the rules, it is a pretty interesting sport with a lot of strategy. WDB
I watched it every chance I got. We blew waaaaay to many shots. Still can't understand why the coach didn't make line-up change earlier. It got to the point that if it came down to the final 2 throws I knew it was over.
