Hello: I use the Thordsen adapter for the buffer tube. MilSpec carbine buffer with 6 positions but use it all the way forward. A Mission First tactical minimalist stock since they are very light. This setup has worked on a couple of MPX's I have had and will be on the one I am building for PCC matches next year. Add a Isler carbon handguard for the front end and a Holosun 510C and you should be all setup. Thanks, Eric

Hello: I have a S&W 15/22 setup like my PCC. I also have a Ruger 10-22 with a Nordic AR conversion kit. I have Black Dog drums for both and some big sticks so I don't have to load mags at the range. I do have a AR-15 Air Force conversion someplace with some magazines as well. I would get the S&W 15/22 and some 36 round magazines from Plinkster Tactical. Also buy 22 ammo by the brick since you will have lots of fun shooting the 22. Thanks, Eric

Hello: One thing to look for is the primer hole. In some of the once fired brass I have reloaded the primer pocket is too large and the primer sits there and sometimes falls out. I have never had a problem with Winchester primers not going bang. I have used lots of CCI's as well and they work. Federals don't go bag in my RL1050 but work in my pistols. Thanks, Eric

Most Stable Carbon Fiber Handguard?
Aircooled6racer replied to jkrispies's topic in Pistol Caliber Carbine
Hello: I am using a Mark Isler on my MPX and Taccom on my AR9. Both are very stable and work great. Thanks, Eric -
Hello: Same gun and powder drop just use lighter bullets for shooting steel matches. 171-173PF for USPSA matches and 141-147PF with lighter bullets for steel. That way the pistol feels almost the same and you have the velocity to knock down the steel. Steel challenge loads will sometimes not knock down steel. Thanks, Eric

Hello: I am going the 16" barrel route. I will be running reloads through mine. I think Tim is going to use factory ammo on his PCC with a welded on tube. The 40 should be a good hog rifle as well with some nasty bullets. Thanks, Eric

Help with Acme HI TEK Coated 9mm 147 Gr. FP-NLG
Aircooled6racer replied to freedoms's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
Hello: I shot some of these today in a Glock 17 with a KKM barrel. 3.3 grains N320, Acme 147 grain, Federal small pistol primers, and 1.140" OAL. 130-134PF and feel pretty good. Thanks, Eric -
Hello: The Lula Colt loader can also unload the mags as well. The ProMag works well also but can't unload the magazines. I have both and use both. Thanks, Eric

Hello: If you shoot open then you must reload. If you are going to shoot open then I would suggest getting a 9mm. Don't get a Glock for an Open pistol unless you plan on changing it out every 6 months or so if you shoot alot. I would get a used 2011 style pistol since there is lots of parts and lots of info on them. A used STI TruBor in 9mm will take you as far as you want to go. Lastly I would try to shoot an open pistol to make sure it will work for you. Some don't like the blast impulse or noise they make. Thanks, Eric

what spring for g34 gen 5 and Eagle Syntech 9mm 150gr
Aircooled6racer replied to borneoknives's topic in Gun Springs
Hello: Do the guide rod conversion with a ISMI 13lb recoil spring. You could also try a Wolff 12lb recoil spring as well. 11lb is too light I think for factory ammo or even a non comped pistol. Thanks, Eric -
Short Stroking a regular JP 9mm SCS?
Aircooled6racer replied to LtdShooter's topic in Pistol Caliber Carbine
Hello: Try 2 tungsten weights and 2 steel weights with the green 223 spring. You can also get a 3/8" thick white plastic washer from a hardware store to shorten the stroke. You will have to open the hole up in the center a little and turn down the outside so it fits in the buffer tube. Thanks, Eric -
Hello: I have only shot about 30 rounds using the Holosun 507C so far since it started to rain here today while I was trying to sight it in. I can say that I like it more than a Burris Fastfire, JP and a Vortex Viper I have had in the past. The larger window port and very clear dot work very well. I am going to try some drills using the circle and just the dot. I think the circle dot together is too busy for me. The only Delta points I have shot have been on other peoples pistols. With so many of those in the past going bad I am kinda scared to try one. I didn't like the RMR window and still wish C-More or somebody would make a small red dot with a round lens. Not everyone shoots these on rifles. Still working up loads and playing with fire control setups. The kids may not see this one for a while since I am enjoying shooting it. Thanks, Eric

Short Stroking a regular JP 9mm SCS?
Aircooled6racer replied to LtdShooter's topic in Pistol Caliber Carbine
Hello: You have to put the spacer in the captured buffer so you can assemble the rifle easier. I tried it but like the full stroke with lighter weight and lighter green spring. Thanks, Eric -
Hello: I ended up with a new slide and a Holosun 507C. Brownells Glock 17 slide with RMR cut. Still trying some of my old Glock parts and some new Zev parts also. I'll sight it in tomorrow and chrono some loads. Thanks, Eric

Hello: They make a Colt AR9 style magazine loader from Lula that is great. You can also get the standard one for double stack magazines but it does not work very well for the Colt AR9 magazines. Thanks, Eric

QC10 value budget build suggestions
Aircooled6racer replied to CaliPCC's topic in Pistol Caliber Carbine
Hello: KAW valley 16" barrel, Taccom carbon handguard, Taccom buffer setup, Hiperfire 24C, Oden works magazine release, and a Holosun 510C. That will take you as far as you want to go. Thanks, Eric -
Hello: I have lead shot I was thinking of using and also some lead sheet I used to use in a formula car years ago. A little JB weld to hold it together. Thanks, Eric

Hello: So what tricks are people using to get their Glocks up to the 45 oz limit? Thanks, Eric

Hello: I will be putting my 40 upper together this week. I still need to get some Glock 40 magazines. I think this would be a great all around setup for everything you can think of. Thanks, Eric

Hello; When testing new stuff only load one round in the magazine. Do this for about 10 shots to make sure it is not going full auto. Next load two rounds and test again. Last thing you want is loading up a magazine and it goes full auto when you rack the slide. Be safe. Thanks, Eric

TTI VS. TF 10 round extensions
Aircooled6racer replied to Silverscooby27's topic in Pistol Caliber Carbine
Hello: You might also consider a Taccom splice using a Glock 33 round amagzine and a Glock 17 round magazine. Reverse the springs so they never pass the splice joint and put the 17 round magazine on top. Works great. I have only used factory Glock magazines for this. Thanks, Eric -
Hello: I was trying to say they only cost 2 cents more each than plated or coated bullets. Sorry for the confusion but I did get some 40 S&W jacketed bullets about 7 years ago for 3 cents a piece. Thanks, Eric
