  1. Soooo... pallets???... of them?.... Maybe I'll get lucky and get one??.... Who knows....
  2. Shooting short Colt (cut 38 special cases)... I see most of you use N320 but i can only find N310.... I have a variety of bullets ranging from 135's/160's/170's/ etc. Is N310 too fast for the short Colt cases???.
  3. Well, I'm going to load only my "A" zone bullets (although I have lot's more of the "C" & "D" zone bullets)... (Very few "B" bullets on hand).... I gave all my "MIKE" bullets to a guy who is a "not so nice" person. I've been having a hard time finding the "A" zone bullets lately, almost as hard to find as good .22 ammo?... Go figure????....
  4. So, JM9x23 is the only reported owner of a 929?... Nobody else got one?..... I'd think TGO would have one by now???...I'm WAY down on the list if they choose to go by "ability" anyhow....
  5. Aha, Good input Tom... When do you think you will have the Follower & disconnector available?.. Mike, a customer
  6. AND the answer is????...... Smith & Wesson being a benevolent corporation, realizes that too many video's and actual 929 sales will cause "male want-a-have" syndrome. This can be fatal and cause many divorces as well as other un-named illnesses. So, for a while they are hiding all "929's" in the dark shadowy places unknown to mortal man...... As O'bama says, "trust me".....I know this is true cause I read it on the internet.....
  7. Sign me up!!! Any idea when you will have your disconnector available? May as well be "compliant"...
  8. It's been posted on GB previously..... notice no one has bought it?......
  9. I see the 2 round holes behind the fiber... is it the intent that you line the 2 holes up to see the whole fiber front ... thus you have the gun aimed?..
  10. Are we suffering from the evil "Black Gun" syndrome??.. Let me see....., if your shooting in a "sporting event", use the shotgun for sporting purposes (such as hunting), WHAT does "922" have to do with anything ???... I realize the shooting world is FULL of "range experts" and generally that "tube" sticking out PAST the muzzle end REALLY "bothers" most of them to the point that they start spouting legal / safety advice at you !!!!!.. Was with a buddy the other day shooting clay (load 2 rounds only) with a long tube Mossberg, had the wandering range guy in his little cart parked behind us for a long time counting "one / two", load one / two. Can't even remember how many time I've been asked about full auto stuff.... is that a "machine gun" or did I have a license for it, am I a cop (only cops can have machine guns you know)...Guess we should all buy Mossberg's , then all is well.....
  11. What are you talking about?.... 922 compliance for the m3000?..It's not a detachable mag fed shotgun/no pistol grip, etc.... explain please....
  12. There is nothing offered at the present that adapts to the swing mechanism... I thought I'd get the tack welded folder instead of the cheepo wooden stock > (which is easier to adapt any AK/AR stock to)... my mistake. I assumed that the folder had all the latest upgrades?, but apparently there was nothing much to improve?. I did add a stop to the cheek rest to keep it from moving while shooting.... 1st time out at a match and I was finding my cheek on bare metal...NOT good!. Go to Vepr.com or the Sagia 12/Vepr site for more info... I'm "mikeAZ" at either one, (I've tried to be a good reporter on my "Vepr" journey). EZ 922 compliant parts are pretty much the same as for the Saiga 12 , except for the mags,... (different follower) There have been a few offers for an even up trade but the "wooden" stock was $200 less than the folder, not a good deal in my mind.... Are you on the pre-order list for the 25 rd. drum? ...it's pretty close now....I was impressed the 1st. time in a match... 5 rd., 10 rd., 12rd., mags were flawless. She ran like a clock thru 4 stages... 1255 fps x 71/2 shot x 1 oz... plus all low velocity slugs & #9 buckshot. Need any more info?, PM me. Mike in AZ...ain't NO stinking snow here !!!!.
  13. Yes, I have two revolvers, one with a dot and one without a dot...Just a thought for the future. Way too many USPSA divisions/rules anyhow... but there are LOT'S more weekly USPSA match's than ICORE match's in my area. I could see the possibility of 8 shot Single Stack and 8 shot Revolver being grouped together in the future but I suppose the "power factor" thingie would be a problem?... Heavens to Betsy, the "world" almost ended when 9mm was made a "major" power factor in USPSA. I'd hate too think anyone would even conceive that 9mm could make "major" in a revolver?. The world would surely END then !!!...I've read that the Chinese are going to try to put a man on the moon..(said to be impossible with their present limited technology, guess some forget who invented gunpowder/rockets).
  14. Personally, I'd head towards the northeast Valley, RIO SALADO is my "fits" all choice,( go on the web and check out the activities). Ever shoot a monthly scheduled 22 caliber pistol steel plate match, Sub Machine gun match, Cowboy match, Bulls eye, ICORE, USPSA, various Shotgun disciplines, High power, etc.. The Tuesday Night Steel pistol match is approaching 200 shooters per night. I moved from Wisconsin to Arizona in 1972, been a RIO member for many years. You can shoot every day or night of the week in the Phoenix area if you choose, LOT's of good ranges. Tax wise, somewhere in Maricopa County is going to be the cheapest area to live, Pinal County is higher tax wise, I'd NEVER buy a home in an area that has a "homeowner association", don't plant anything that's not meant to survive the desert heat and needs lot's of water....Good, easy freeway access is a big ++++, then you can drive to any of the ranges as you wish. PM me if you wish, Mike
  15. Well, a thought for the shooter's with less than perfect eyesight (I'm one)..... Maybe in the future, IF the "8 shot minor" inclusion proves to USPSA that some/more shooter's LIKE the Revolver Division???.... MAYBE there will be a place for a "red dot" on a revolver and not put us against the regular 28/29 shot "Open" bottom feeders???.... Who knows????..... While the current "fiber optic" sights help... the "dot" is the answer for me.....and another thing, I don't believe that adding a "compensator to a revolver" should put you into "open" class. The compensator is simply a barrel weight, it does not do anything with the "puffer" loads we shoot now. At my skill level and age, I'm not a threat to "win" a match because my revolver has a "red dot" with or without a "compensator" Even if I chose to remove the "comp", I still need the "red dot".... I've tried the "goofy glasses that help those of us with astigmatism focus better on the iron/fiber sights but never felt comfortable with them. My .02....
  16. So then, a red dot sight equipped 8 shot revolver automatically puts you in the regular bottom feeder "open" class even if your shooting 8 shot minor???..that is, no separation in revolver for regular sights or red dots?..my vision pretty much dictates a red dot...
  17. Sooooo, I'm also running the V Comp and a C-More red dot. That would put me in USPSA "open" class rather than revolver class (no "open" class in USPSA revolver class.?).... (That's my interpretation)..Explain, if I'm wrong???..best thing I've learned about the 627's, so far... DON'T buy the cheapo moon clips.
  18. My turn,... I've owned/shot all three. If you want too spend the $$$$ or aren't willing to do your own work?.. No choice, the Firebird Akdal or the R&R Saiga 12.. The regular store bought Saiga 12's needs a helping hand with some polishing of the bolt, trigger, hammer, maybe gas port work and some aftermarket additions for 922 compliance. The Vepr 12, I recently purchased (I made 922 compliant) so far, is a step up from the Saiga's. Lot's of inspector stamps, gas ports all there, bolt allows mag to be inserted fully loaded on the closed bolt and a last round bolt open feature (which seems to be a plus at this point).. I paid extra for a folding stock option AND thinking back I wished I would have purchased the $200 cheaper wood stock model, then I could have put any style AK/AR stock on it. (Can't be done with the Factory folder.. your stuck with this stock at this point in time). Both the Sagia and the Vepr like ammo that is around 1300 fps. You can replace the front spring on the recoil rod with a Colt style spring for tuning either shotgun. The after market 10/12 round SGM mags work and aren't too expensive. I tried the Arridondo mag coupler for 24 rds. total but that's a lot of weight for me (small/Super Senior). I never bothered with a drum... some work... some don't. THAT said, SGM will have a 25 round drum priced under $100 coming out sometime soon for the Vepr. (I've pre-ordered). You know that the mag gun puts you in "open" class whether you use 5/10/12 rounder's. or drums?. You may as well have a dot. IF you get a dot for your mag gun, I'd recommend a micro dot (Burris fast Fire 3 or similar, I like the Burris Fast Fire 3 with the 8 min dot, not the FF2, which has the battery located on the bottom) that sits as low as possible. Be warned the AR/ picatinny rail regular C-Mores were too high for me because of the cheek weld. pm me if you wish, there is more.... Mike
  19. What size dot, 3 min. dot?...My wife was frustrated (a "wiggler", trying to find the 3 min. dot) when shooting steel plate competition with her Buckmark .22. I put a 12 min. dot module in her regular sized C-More. She is shooting WAY better... We are both Super Senior's, red dot's on everything we shoot.. I have 2 S&W 627's, one with the 12 min. regular C-More and one with the FF3 x 8 min. dot. I don't loose the dot very often with either... Could your draw be affecting you (do you pull up square & push out, letting your eye pick the dot up a little sooner???...
  20. I'd found the same basic thing, the Vepr runs out of the box (922 mods of course)... One thing I had to do was bend the tip of the last round bolt hold open lever out so it sat further in on the rear lip of SGM mags..IE; It didn't "sit" on the follower on last round... does now... Next is the cheek piece "thingie", snapped open leaving me shooting on a bare metal butt stock... The SGM Vepr 12 25 round drum is just around the corner.....I've posted my 1st. time out observations in competition shooting with the Vepr, on the Vepr 12 forum... ammo, mags., etc, ...Mike
  21. Maybe I can get a "Super Senior " discount.....
  22. Reloaded ammo?...(slight almost unnoticeable bulge about 3/8" from the bottom of the case? or .358 lead bullet with just a slight crimp?)...OR I have learned that ya gotta have good moon clips... some won't work in one gun but will in another?.. (cyl)?. Seems like it would be the cylinder out of spec, if it's not the ammo or moon clips?... I'm down to using one brand of brass and the moon clips were specified for that brass. The ONLY problem I'm having now is that I "miss" a lot?.... (I'm blaming the, the, the, trigger puller).
  23. I've been reading here and there about this shotgun and have become interested in picking up the 24" barreled one.... I've e-mailed several of the Factory listed dealers and no one seems to have the 24" one in stock, saying it's a 2014 model ????. Yet I think I've seen them listed for sale??. AND guess what?.. The price is slowly rising UP... Hum... Anyone got any info/leads?..Mike
  24. GEEEEZ, 50% OF MY "OPEN" SCORE..... I'LL be in the "HOLE".... BETTER GET THAT 929, then I can do even WORSE!!!.......You have burst my bubble......
