Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Oh man. I could bid now, but whats the point, I won't be able to afford the final price
  2. The same that the 7-shot 686s fill. The one that doesnt exist.
  3. Something to consider on the subject: Power factor is essentially momentum... pf=mv Kinetic energy=mv^2 Therefor, a 115 grain bullet making 120 pf carries more kinetic energy than a 147 grain making the same power factor. So the question becomes, does a transfer in kinetic energy cause the popper to fall or does a transfer in momentum cause the popper to fall. Personally, I think the heavier the bullet, the safer you are making it to fall when it should.
  4. Clays is great for a 230 lead/moly coated lead in 45.
  5. Thank you, but I have already considered that. That is a load for a jacketed bullet that has very different dimensions than a lead bullet and very different hardness. For instance: according to hodgdon reloading site (Titegroup): 125gr HDY HAP 2.8-3.2 125gr SIE FMJ 4.1-4.4 125gr LCN 3.6-4.0 So as you see, the charge can vary between bullets.
  6. If someone could help me out with this. Im looking for a Blue Dot load for 125 LCN. I use 125 bayous. I know its not the ideal powder, but im looking for any help.
  7. Seriously.... You are killing me.
  8. When I went to the revolver I just bought the cheapo moonclips: $45 shipped for 100. But even the cheapest options for 8-shot 9mm are nearly 10 times that price. So there is that as well. Dont get me wrong, Im super excited for the 929, but yeah, that initial sticker price is going to suck.
  9. Awesome! Glad to see more new people getting in the sport. Always take advantage of your stage walk-through and do not deviate from your plan.
  10. Powder is still the toughest component to find around here too. You can get any large bore rifle powder and, more recently, some more small bore rifle powder. Pistol powder is still near impossible. I lucked out and found a pound of 800-x at my LGS.
  11. Tallahassee here, soon to be Tampa.
  12. Ive had great luck with IMR 4064. I also like BLC2 and IMR 4895
