  1. Have a couple questions before I decide to buy one. I am coming from a rock island I built up as a nice limited gun and thinking of going to a tanfo. I have a ton of long loaded 40 ammo I'd like to use. 200gn blue bullets. Can you run long loaded ammo in the tanfo?
  2. Nope. And other then the normal stuff for a stock 2 nothing is offered as of yet. The only reason I even went for the stock 2 was i thought a RTS2 was direct fit. I'd have went with a shadow 2 if i knew I'd have to mill the slide anyways.
  3. The Stock 2 OR will not accept the RTS2. the optic is to long. Mine will be on it's way to PD shorty to have this fixed.
  4. Bought a shadow 2 a while ago, shot it a couple times at the range and hated how it felt in my hands. Sold it and now just got my stock 2 OR. Its gonna take a trip to PD and then be the carry optics pistol. I like it a lot better.
  5. I watch the stats on PS for the matches I participate in and at least in area 5 it seems CO is booming, production is dwindling, limited and open are usually pretty even with open usually having more, PCC is also popular.
  6. Happened to my girlfriend at Ryan Rocks Charity Blast last year. She was using two different ammo brands. Both were shot across the Chrono, both had a bullet pulled and weighed. No big deal.
  7. I've been going back and forth on this in my head for a months now. For me I'll be going from major to minor in limited for a while. There are a few reasons for this. I have a lot of nerve damage in my hands/elbows and major with about as soft as you can get it and still make PF hurts about half way through a match, about stage 4 or 5. By the end of the day I'm done. Can barely hold steering wheel to drive home. Second reason is I havent put the practice in to have a big enough difference in scoring to matter, sure I get a lot of alphas but I need to work on stage planning, transitions, speed, ect... all of these will benefit me more then major scoring at this point. And 9mm is cheaper to reload, or buy.
  8. I wear one because I want to. It has my name and the local gunsmith who builds my pistols.
  9. Short term goal, less then 30 days. - dry fire 6 days a week consistently. Just ordered Ben's dry fire reloaded book and mini target kit. Medium term goal, 3 months. - continue dry fire practice 6 days a week, but get times down to expert level. Long term goal, 6 months. - shoot a match with no forgotten targets. - less then 5 Mike's for a match. I'm not going to stress myself on making a certian class yet. For 3 years I've shot and while I though I was getting better my last 3 months (a years worth of matches crammed into it) I have found that the stagnant times off not shooting any matches from around october of last year till june of this year, and no practice of which I never really did has me looking like a fool at matches. I'm tired of it, and its making me not enjoy the sport. So now I'm going full speed ahead to fix it.
  10. Thanks guys! What is the perfect sight thing?
  11. Meh, I'm not one to argue a call like that. But either way I wouldnt yeet a gun down range lol. The way i see it is they are doing their best. I watched a video of me shooting the stage and while it was close and maybe I did or didnt but no need to go off and act like a fool. And sadly I was honestly kind of relieved. I wasnt into the match at all. I was tired of shooting single stack and didnt have any excitement that day, and withdrew for SS nats while still at the match. Now I'm back to Limited and loving USPSA again.
  12. I had cubital tunnel surgery (same issue but in elbows) done on both arms in late 2015/early 2016, and when they did my left elbow they did carpal tunnel at the same time. 4 years later I can say that it was mostly a waste of time and effort. No real pain after surgery though and was back at work with in 3 weeks. My big issues are still a 7-10 pain scale down my outer arm to my pinky and loss of strength with hard use. The surgery did however mostly get rid of the numbness. And by hard use I mean holding the steering wheel for more then about 10 minutes. Now for a day job I am a heavy equipment mechanic and it doesnt help at all but it's what I know how to do and pays quite well so I just deal with the pain
  13. I've looked all over the forum and dont see much about Limcat Wildcat pistols. I have always wanted a Limcat after seeing J.J. shoot his. They just have that distinct look and at least around my area (mi) they seem to be a rare breed. So if you were to order a brand new one what options would you go with? They have 5 options which I believe break down to the normal one, HBAR, Sight tracker, HBAR perfect sight, and normal perfect sight. I like a well balanced but heavy limited gun. One that soaks up a lot of the recoil as I have nerve damage in both arms and it helps me to keep the pain down and be able to shoot a 250 round plus match.
  14. I use Wilson 47D mags for my Dan Wesson PM45. No issues. Brownells usually has them on sale at least once a month.
  15. Clark's Customs has a fix for off center firing pin hole issues.
  16. I honestly only heard about it because it was the same stage I DQ'd at and I guess for the same reason. 180 break. For me, I just accepted it and moved on. I knew I was super close because I came out of the port and the pistol was 90 degrees from me but didnt think I broke. I guess the other guy wasnt as graceful.
  17. Didnt see but heard of a guy throwing his PCC down range after a DQ at the Western PA match this year.
  18. Limcat brass/steel will fit the plastic grip.
  19. Has anyone used this with a BUL Armory plastic grip, or a Para style frame? I have a Para open gun and just built a BUL open gun. Looking at the 015 as it looks like both will fit.
  20. Compete with either a RIA doublestack in limited or a 1911. Carry mostly a G43x or Springfield Hellcat. Just picked up a BUL SASII commander and if it runs good I'll carry that in winter.
  21. Not to dig up a almost ten year old thread but if anyone is wondering you can see about 8hrs of video on youtube of Richard Davis and Second Chance. Its video of him shooting himself, talking with police officers who got shot, and other things from back then. I thought it was very interesting. Actually better then what's on tv. Look up "The Johnny Rowlands Shooting Show", then click on the "videos" thing and scroll down. I'm not exaclty sure who Johnny Rowlands is but his TV show seemed pretty interesting also.
  22. Just fitted one on a cheely E2 grip. Nothing special about it really that we could see. Seems to he good quality. Thinking about drilling some holes in it and cutting the front to match the Caspian TRIK flat triggers I use in my single stack guns.
  23. I'll be going with JEM for frame and slide on my next build.
  24. I went with the Cheely E2 SS grip kit. Ive checked out almost all the others and the Cheely fit my hands the best. Side note, he also has the best deal for the grip, magwell, mag release, MSH and beavertail.
  25. Honcho is gonna be the best bang for buck unless you want something actually custom. Custom being you design the slide cuts, you pick how the trigger is shaped, stuff like that. Other then that stuff ALL the 2011s are the same gun with different builders doing certain "extra" fitting, polishing, and marketing gimmicks.
