  1. Good luck ordering a short block from Warwick. I have the funds sitting in my account waiting for them to start selling them again. Been waiting for about 6 months. Brazos would be able to sell a short block kit with a blank slide. Also their one piece barrel/comp is fantastic. I love mine. If looking for someone to thread a bushing barrel to accept a cone style comp I suggest Dan at D2 Customs.
  2. Just a heads up on the fusion triggers the bow and the shoe separate a lot on them. I like their triggers but after having a few do that have since stopped using them. My go to now is a geppert.
  3. Totally agree. For my 40 I settled on Wilson and tripp 10mm mags. Mostly Wilson's. Still undecided on the 9mm mags.
  4. Not even slightly surprised by at least on guns point of failure and the excuse given. The builder isnt smart enough to know how to properly fit those parts.
  5. Another one he did in hard chrome and black nitride. Been having @PCPEMark finish guns for us at Prasky for about a year now and I personally have had him finish guns for about 5 years. He and Romae were the ones doing the lazer and finish work at APW Cogan Customs.
  6. @PCPEMark did this one for us. Hard Chrome and Black Nitirde.
  7. I belive EGW makes oversized sear and hammer pins. I know for a fact EGW makes a long nose sear as well. Also deep river customs has oversized pins. If it was me I would ream to new pin size and fit new internals. Also some disconnectors are slightly longer or larger where they engage the sear. As for drilling those pin holes in an 80% frame I only drill one side at a time. Havent ever needed to ream them to size but a reamer would be the best way to get a true size as drills are not meant for that.
  8. Mim is mim. EGW, and Cheely I know for fact machine their own slide stops.
  9. According to CWA their SS grip is allowed per USPSA.
  10. Well got a Dawson, metalform, tripp and chip McCormick range pro mags. Tried each. All were good and a little easyer to load into a 1911 with slide closed except the dawson. I dont know what was up with the dawson but I couldn't get 10 rounds into it for the life of me. And I'm almost sure all but the tripp mag were actually just metalform mags.
  11. Anyone have experience with the ARMSCORE 124GN round nose bullets? Thinking of ordering 2k of them. Will be used in a few different guns. Open minor, a Sig P320 Legion and a Tanfo stock 2.
  12. Oh belive me. Nobody on the squad missed him. Oddly havent ever seen him at a match again either.
  13. Dont see any issue with it. Gun is unloaded.
  14. Funny because I did 8 years, worked on the flight deck and hanger bay for 4 of them. Was Navy Securtiy Forces for 2. And I stand by what I said. The whole warfighter crap was useless. He could have left "I'm a super tough guy who is better then everyone." Out. It was straight out of the retired higher rank handbook. Use the example, that's fine. But dont put yourself above anyone else. I will never understand that mentality.
  15. He could have skipped the whole war fighter part and would have gotten the same message across. I dont know about anyone else but I dont usually continue to listen/read much further if the first paragraph is telling me I'm less then....
  16. His hand left the gun. He had no idea he didnt have the safety on. Guy was a giant pain the whole day anyways. Never pasted, complained about everything, said he didn't care and wouldnt sign score sheet, ect.....
  17. It quite possibly was you. Would have been stage 5? Or 4. The one at the end of the row stage 1 is on right at the parking lot. ( I should really know the stage number considering I shoot at DSC a lot). Was a taller guy, argued about it for at least 5 minutes. And said "if we really cared about safety we would have just told him to flip the safety on." Our squad was already light a few shooters as well.
  18. Take a look at the Dan Wesson pic I posted. 100% SS Legal. The milled out areas of the slide are .50 thousands deep. I'd recomend not going that deep unless you are ok with the possibilty of cutting though the slide. We normally cut them at .20 or .30 deep.
  19. Watched a "expert" 3 gun shooter argue this exact scenario at the MI Sectional 2 or 3 years ago at Detroit Sportsmans Congress. The rest of the squad was way past ready for him to be gone anyways so we all just sat back and enjoyed the show.
  20. What are the go to recoil spring for the stock 2? I'm 95% a 1911/2011 guy and picked up a stock 2 so I can mess around in CO. Had Patroit Defense do their trigger work and stuff and Joe mentioned that I'll need to tune the recoil springs to my ammo. That's not a big deal.as I'm used to doing that anyways. Should I go with their tuners pack? I also found taylor tactical has recoil springs as well as wolff. What LB springs should I try out? I run 124gn bullets and 131PF. Normally loaded by NC Shooters supply but lately a friend of mine. I can get his load data if needed. Or if anyone has sone good load data I'm game to try it. This is also my first venture into reloading.
