  1. Does anyone know of a race holster that will fit the CZ 97B? Being as L10 is really not a thing anymore and people who do shoot it use a 2011 anyways nobody lists the 97B as a pistol that would fit. I'm hoping someone here might know if one would work. Would need to be left handed. Thanks.
  2. I agree to a point. Some of the hold back was out of their control. Or at least that's my opinion. "Nobody" knew c19 would become a huge success at shutting down entire countries for almost a year. Honestly I dont think it was going to get the extreme success people may have expected anyway. Most limited and open shooters have invested thousands of dollars in stuff besides the gun itself. Most wouldnt just dump all that to go to a new setup. Some may sure but not in mass. Otherwise we would see a lot more TSO setups in USPSA already.
  3. Man I wish I had known the AO1LD was larger then a S2. I probably would have just bought that instead of the Tanfo.
  4. Prasky Gunworks in MI can do both. We have the throating and chamber reamers.
  5. We started with a Tisas/Regent RB9. They are about the best Hi Power clone available, and Cylider and Slide has the same parts for them as they do a Hi Power. All internals are C&S, magwell is C&S weld on. We cut the factory front sight off, milled slide for SRO and mount. Checkered front and back strap, welded on and shaped a beavertail. Not the wildest build but also not something you see everyday. Currently its getting black nitride coated.
  6. I want one of their 10mm converted CZ97s. But not $3500 want.
  7. Thanks. It has been an interesting project for sure.
  8. Another we built off a BUL Armory. It has since been further modified and is back at Prasky Gunworks getting tuned, LSI Outlaw Grip, custom slide racker and then coated. And has a one piece Brazos barrel/comp.
  9. One of my open guns. This one is a Para.
  10. I have one gun I wish I never sold. Not even really a special edition or anything. It was a Springfield loaded 9mm 1911 that Ryan Spencer worked over for me. Man did that gun shoot awesome. Been chasing that feeling for 2 years now. I dont know what it was really but THE STI Trojan 9mm was trash compared to it. Sold that one and now doing a Dan wesson.
  11. Well have some stuff laying around the shop a while ago and we (Praksy Gunworks) and myself decided to build a shorty open gun off a old railed doublestack Para frame. And this is what came of it. It's a 9 minor gun I plan to use at steel Challange matches or having fun at a local. And yes those window cuts are very close to the front of the slide, it wasnt planned that way but.... I didnt measure the thickness of the slide where the barrel bushing lug cut is and welp now it has windows... lesson learned. Next time I'll leave that part to Sean. Was a blast to build even though it was a back burner project we would do when there was time. Only things left are to tear it all down and clear coat cerakote it, reassemble and shoot it.
  12. Bought a 3 pack of the brownells/metalform mags in black. Hopefully USPS doesnt take 3 months to deliver them.
  13. Fooled with it a little more and decided I ought to just drop it back off with Sean before I end up really messing something up. So.... now instead of just tuned it is getting a lonestar grip, custom slide racker (long story short i didnt originally want one but then i did so we cut a shallow dovetail and the racker wasnt going to live long), get the trigger parts dialed in (I used EE parts but didnt mess with them or tune the sear spring), additional slide lightening (we left the slide pretty heavy), final touches like polishing, getting rid of tooling marks ect.. and then off to my good friends at Precision Custom Plating and Engraving. I guess so much for a cheap and easy 9 major open gun build. Lol
  14. WOW, just WOW. That is beautiful.
  15. Wow. I'm no welder but..... wow.
  16. Well now we need to know the story.....inquiring minds and all.
  17. Keep an eye out on facebook or Instagram. Sean Prasky at Prasky Gunworks is doing this one and a lonestar grip on a open gun he built me using a BUL Government size 2011. I decided to just let him do it since these are the first two he is doing and both are my guns. If doing yourself should be a pretty straight forward deal. Just cut drill out the two threaded holes to roughly .315" and then normal grip fitting. For the commander with the cheely aluminum grip I ordered the grip he has that is specifically cut for the Geppert trigger Atlas Gunworks sells and was planning on buying that trigger but test fit the modular trigger BUL has and it fit perfect. So decided to use it. I don't have Facebook or Instagram anymore but if you follow Prasky Gunworks they will have pics. If I get any I'll post them here.
  18. You can get away with a LOT of milling or no milling in SS. Belive me. I build a DW PM45 that has full length steel guide rod, steel smith and Alexander magwell/MSH and a not tri topped slide. It is just under weight with mag. I also have serrations on the side of the frame where your thumb goes. That we actually talked to troy about and is good to go.
  19. Got the cheely grip in. It pretty much will fit just need to drill out the holes. No big deal.
  20. Sounds like I'm just gonna have to get one or 2 of the tripp, and metalform and see which I like best. Thanks everyone.
  21. Getting back into SS for a little bit next season and want to get a few more mags. Currently I only run the Wilson Combat ETM 10rnd mags with dawson base pads. While I have never once had an issue with them working even when shooting the SNS400 in the muddy rain a couple years ago and not cleaning any of them the entire match. The biggest gripe I have is that they are super tight on the 10rnd and unless you seat it hard they tend to not lock in. I thought I found a thread where guys were talking about this and had mentioned a few other brands that were a little less stiff but cant find it now. So..... opinions please. 1911 9mm DW PM9 will be the pistol I'm using. Thanks, Josh Baker
