  1. I currently building a commander 2011 and even with the rule update I'm having a hard time figuring out if the non functional beavertail safety on a cheely grip is OK or a no go. If I need to have a functioning grip safety it's OK I just want to fit it before sending everything off to coating or finish blending everything. It will be setup for CO division. Much thanks, Josh Baker
  2. Is that the only slide design they have? I'd love one like Isac Lockwood had at race gun nats.
  3. I've looked all over for an answer and have come up empty. Has anyone mounted a R3max or xl, Rts2 or alpha 3 to the pro cut slide yet? I want to get the AGX Pro and put the brass grips on it but I really don't want to use the R1pro sight. Thanks Josh
  4. I very much like this. Reminds me of the black scorpion setup but with a ball. @rowdybis this the style of the one you are working on coming out with?
  5. May want to tell anyone who has fit a p320 barrel that. Because if you don't fit the bottom lug the gun won't lock up.
  6. First of all, if you think a paster is 4" you need to learn how to measure. Second, yes 100% fitting the barrel foot to the fcu is part of accuracy. How the hell do you think barrel lock up works?
  7. I just don't see these accuracy issues people talk about. At 20 yards I can't put 5 rounds touching a paster. We aren't shooting bullseye. It's uspsa. On top of that fitting isn't done just on the slide. You have to fit barrel to the FCU as well.
  8. 100% love mine. I bought the set from DAA when I got my press as nobody had a 9mm RL1100. Haven't had any issues with them at all. The size die is great and actually full length. Seating die is great, I can go from BBI to SNS or DG bullets 135gn rn and know exaclty where I need to have the seating die set to get the same OAL. I love them. My OAL goal is 1.129". My spread is 1.127-1.130. I did swap out the Undersized die for a Lee U die before getting my roll sizer but honestly could swap it back. The Lyman die actually sizer further down the case then the U die.
  9. I disagree with this. From what I seen in the YouTube vid of gavintoob review it's not going to be a smooth running press. A lot of flex, and the not so smooth rotation of the shell plate is much worse then a rl1100. It looked to have a lot of extra movement in everything. Like things were machined with a lot of tolerance.
  10. Figured as much. Ah well. I have other primers.
  11. Anyone try the extra hard CCI 41 primers with the P320 Legion yet? I have a opportunity to buy a bunch of them and don't want to waste my time or money if they won't work. I know normal SRP and SRMP go bang.
  12. Finally watched this. Exaclty the same thing as I found when chono checking ammo. Now I just want to find out if a P320 will set off a CCI 41 primer.
  13. Did some loading with ramshot competition..... couldn't tell if I was shooting the titegeoup loads or the ramshot loads. Put 10 of each into a mag randomly and shot all 20 in a row. Same POA/POI, recoil, smoke (indoor range), ect... I'm going to try the win 231 next to see if it is any different. Mostly bevause I have some and the seasons over so I'm bored.
  14. 135gn SNS or DG bullets 1.125OAL 3.3GN Titegroup 134PF average. This load was chronod at multiple L2 matches this year in A5 as well as at home. 135GN BBI after weighing 25 random bullets I use 133gn as the weight. 1.129OAL 3.82GN Ramshot competition 130PF average. No noticeable difference in recoil or POA/POI between the two loads.
  15. 9mm BUL Armory trophy Saw 1911 135gn DG or SNS .356 1.128 av OAL 3.3GN Titegroup 132av PF
  16. I don't know why but my newest gun won't run the gen 2 sti mags for nothing. Pop in an MBX after doing the break in and runs 100%. So I spent the money on the MBX mags for 9 and 40 and haven't had any issues. I think Adam is doing some great things but for me and the simple cost of them, and the not knowing if they would work for me I just haven't really wanted one.
  17. The IMM barrel lower lugs are cut for a commander frame. From what my builder said they are different the a government/full size barrel lower lug and may or may not work. He didn't want to chance it as the build he was doing for me had three different uppers and was worried timing would be off on that one. So I changed it to be a KKM hybrid barrel. @AverageJoeShooting I just email Shooters Connection as well and got the same response. Kind of bummed out too as I wanted to get a new upper for open on another gun so I'd have a back up. Guess I'll just sit back and wait it out. I have thought about going with the new Scheumann Z or the SVI SVP barrel but have heard both are slower them the KKM and don't want to worry about power factor if I had to switch guns out at a major. I may be paranoid about it but.... I'm not in a huge rush anyways.
  18. From what I've seen Blue Bullets and BBI bullets works very well. I have couple friends who shoot them and have had no more leading then with JHP. I talked with Chandler (owner of BBI) and Brennan (BBI open shooter) recently about using them for 9 major and both said to use a powder closer to silhouette as ones like AA7 burn hotter and can burn the coating off though. I dont have any personal experience with it yet as I have a pile of 9 major loaded with everglades 124JHP I bought off a friend who switched to 38SC and some of the everglades 9 major ammo I had bought before I started reloading myself. And I haven't yet committed to shooting open so I just use that ammo when I do take it to a local.
  19. For me personally I think better guns make me a better shooter. Not because they are better per say but because I can trust them to not break or jam mid stage, and I like them more so I want to use it which gets me to practice more. My biggest and hardest habit to break is my division ADD. I have really nice limited, open, single stack and carry optics pistols and have not yet been able to keep myself shooting one single division for a whole season. I get bored or frustrated and change. Usually I start with SS and get about 1/2 way through the season then go to limited. Then after area 5, I live in MI, I'm like well cool season is basicly over so I can just mess around with the open or CO guns. I find the switch from SS to Lim fairly simple but this year it was a little worse since I had a brand new limited gun that was a lot different then any I'd even shot before. It was a 5.5" sight block setup and took much more work getting used to. I still ended up doing pretty well with it though. I will also say that another big help for me is having a major match goal ahead of me to train for. Once the area match is over its usually 4 or 5 months of basicly down time with a few locals left in October then maybe a local or two indoor in the winter.
  20. After trying both as well as the LSI Outlaw they are all a little different in shape. For me I like the LSI the best. It's more aggressive and the undercut goes a little lower making it a lot more comfortable for the middle finger. My second choice is the Cheely
  21. I like them but not for USPSA. The last PM9 I got, 2020, didnt run right at all. Very sluggish and feeding issues right from the start. Ended up getting a set of BUL Armory 1911s and have loved them.
  22. Thanks everyone. Gonna do some adjustment and try it again.
  23. So for the guys running the ratcheting belts do you order it shorter then your normal outer belt? I've had an RHT one for like 2 years and tried it twice. The other belt overlaps at the ends like my normal one and when I sinch it down it makes the inner loop under itself. Am i missing something obvious?
  24. I have mine from them. Seem to load up and shoot just like anything else I've used so far. Being used in a p320 and 2011.
