  1. I may see about getting some blues after all the suggestions.
  2. Ahh. I'm going to see if they work. I know a few that use DG, BBI, and Blue Bullets. When I asked them they did specify not to use coated bullets if I had popple holes which I don't.
  3. Really? I've got minimum of 2k on one P320 and don't clean the inside of the barrel at all. No leading or really any signs of issue at all. Most of that was with titegroup which is probably the worst powder to use for coated bullets. I'm using ramshot comp for minor now and still no issues.
  4. I'm still kinda in shock about this. I'm going to see about passing on these kind words to his wife and son. Also I've heard the memorial services will be after the holiday. I really wish I had gotten the parts to build my ultimate 10/22 with him now and not skipped out on last Sundays SCSA match. Josh
  5. My biggest issue besides the digging into my thigh is the gun wiggling. It hasn't even cone out and I've tried to get it to come out of the 015 and DAA alpha x. It's really just annoying AF. One thing I do notice with the 015 is if I'm not 100% on the insertion of the pistol and am slightly forward the gun does not lock in, and will fall out. It also doesn't have any real click feeling or sound if it engages or not. I'm used to it now but it's still something to know if you decide to get one. I want to like the MRH but I'm nervous about gun wiggle, comfort (mainly due to having delt with the 015 and its not comfortable), and how many screws it has that can come loose. Am I overthinking it too much?
  6. I hope the pics help. It's really simple. I originally was just going to use a Brazos mount but it didn't fit the cut out in the frame for the mount.
  7. Hand filed with a small mechanics file. When looking at the optic mount surface on the cheely mount the front is round and then the ramp starts. I filed just a very little bit in front of the furthest forward part of the round part till it was flat with the mounting surface. Took me about 20 minutes but I went really slow and made sure not to accidentally file on the original mounting surface. Super easy though. I'll see if I can get a pic to load.
  8. Just got my 8 moa and fit it to a cheely mount. Very easy. Just had to file down a very little bit right where the front of the sight sits.
  9. Using the safariland 015 currently. I like it a lot but my gun has the LSI LSI grip and its pretty loose fitting in it. And the bottom will dig into your thigh. Also safariland discontinued it. Messing around with the DAA Alpha X again and will probably pick up a GHOST as well.
  10. Thanks for the info. I want to love my p320 legion with all the trigger work and still..... yeah I hate the trigger. Girlfriend loves hers. I think I'll just go for the AO1.
  11. I've wanted an AO1 since they first were announced. But I've shed away partially because I know it won't get shot very much but mostly because I womder if it will be sensitive to primers like my tanfo was. I normally use CCI SPP or ginex primers.
  12. If you already have a bunch of standard 2011 mags and want to either do this is have a gunsmith do it it's not a bad idea. Otherwise I would just buy the MBX mags for BUL.
  13. This is a BUL 2011 commander frame that we also milled to accept standard 2011 grips and installed a cheely grip on. Prasky Gunworks did all the work.
  14. I have two BUL 2011s cut to accept STI style 2011 mags. It's pretty simple. Basicly we measured a standard 2011 frame, cheely, and cut the BUL frame to those dimensions. So instead of having full rails for the slide it now look exactly like a standard 2011 frame where the section above the mag opening is. You probably can get away with just opening that area between the rails some with out cutting the sections of the rails out but we didn't try. I'll see if I can get a pic to post.
  15. Didn't even think about this. Thanks for the tip. I have been testing a new position. Basically I put the belt on with nothing on it and simulated a draw and marked on my belt where my hand was then put the holster on so that the grip was in that spot. It was about at the 9 o'clock position or right behind the front part of my hip bone. Seems good so far....
  16. Not sure if it's really my place to post this but he was a great friend. @BillChunn passed away from a sever stroke today. He was the very first person I talked to when I started USPSA. I walked in to a Tuesday night practice at Detroit Sportsmans Congress and probably looked like I was lost. He came up and was as friendly and just jumped right into explaining how everything worked and what to do. I could always count on him to be there with loads of info, a good joke, and a helping hand. He recently helped start up USPSA and SCSA at another local club in MI at Oakland County Sportsmans Club. I'll sure miss ya buddy! I'll update this when I get more info. Josh Baker
  17. They don't have anything for em. I don't get it though. They just released this holster like a year or so ago.
  18. Really? I was about to see it they have a barrel support for it.
  19. Thank you! He does some really cool stuff.
  20. You do know this isn't an easy swap for a BUL frame and 2011 grip? I have 2 BUL hicaps with metal 2011 grips and you either have to mill/file don't the pads on the grip and size the holes for the BUL screws or mill the pads off the BUL frame, drill out the holes to accept standard 2011 grip bushings. It's not a hard task but is something to be aware of before spending $500+ on a grip. I do know at least one gunsmith who has and is willing to do this as well.
  21. Being a Lefty and shooting a good bit of SS I have tried a BUNCH of the ambi thumb safetys. Best I've come up with is the EGW HD for SS. I cut back of the left side at a angle and they work quite well. They also don't break. I put a fair ammount of pressure on the right side safety and have broken a few others. I haven't found any shielded safetys that would not require cutting down the pads a fair ammount. The limcat ones, I use those on my limited and open gun, once cut to fit the box had almost no pad left on the left side safety. Lol
