  1. Lok Bogies (thin, palm swell or the thicker ones). I use the thin bogies, they are a bit thicker than henning grips and have more aggressive texture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have same thing on one of my Stock 2’s on the top where there’s a matte finish. I’m going to try the simple green that was mentioned, thanks Yagi Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. You’re pushing a lot low left especially T1 and T2. Do you generally get excited when the timer first goes off? If so, maybe you’re pushing the gun before it’s going off on the draw? By the time you’re on T3 and T4 you’re going back to a better trigger press and not pushing the gun around. Just my two cents, there’s plenty here that would know better than me though, so I would wait for others before taking that as gospel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This wasn’t a problem for the past month in dryfire, or you just didn’t see the sights were right of center? EGD grips are very thin and have no texture to them, if that matters to you. Lok Thin Bogies grips are my preference and are thicker than EGD. Henning full checkered grips are good too. I struggle at times with pushing shots left when I grip too hard with strong hand or not hard enough with support hand. The opposite doesn’t seem like a common problem that I’ve heard of though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I had this issue with a Sig p226 a few years back. I installed the X5 extended mag release and my support hand would bump it. Can you reach a standard mag release or go with smaller/notched grips? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have some full checkered palm swells for large frame if you wanted some Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I shot a 226 enhanced elite for a while in production with e2 grips. I believe I had Dawson sights on it, if I remember correctly. It was a decent gun, did a little polishing and slightly dropped hammer spring weight. I liked it, but I shoot a stock 2 now and dryfired a 226 elite stainless recently and didn’t like the feel of it that much. Felt very bulky, but the e2 grips and some others are thinner. I don’t buy into the bore axis as a real issue, I could split Sig’s (226 and 320) as fast as a stock 2. A real shortcoming with the 226 is easy access to competition related parts. Grayguns is about your only supplier (except for springs). They make great parts but if they’re out of stock, it could be tough to find what you need...at least that was the case when I had mine, maybe that’s changed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    43x holster

This is more of a carry question, but does anyone have suggestions for a good quality appendix/iwb holster with soft loops for a 43x? I was looking at Dark Star Gear or NSR Tactical
  9. Basepads do not seem to affect, Ive swapped about 5 different ones. Spring or follower may be culprit, but when I switched mag guts into other mag it worked fine at least for a short bit of dry fire. Will try more tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I may narrowed it down to 1 K9 mag. It looks same as others, but maybe there a slight imperfection I cannot see. But that one mag keeps causing trigger to get stuck to rear with a SP, SB, or a PD basepad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I have a LF Stock 2 and several times recently I’ve had the trigger stick back while dryfiring. I had Springer basepads on it, though maybe it was an over insertion issue possibly. Just put on Shockbottle basepads and did the same thing in a short time. My other Mecgar mags with Patriot Defense basepads haven’t done this. All of the mags that do this are K9 mags, so I’m thinking that could be the issue? I can’t recall this ever happening in live fire or at a match. Any insight is appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I would never hand prime. I’ve never had primer detonation, but I would guess it’s caused from debris or a snag in the primer tube on the press. Or maybe a misaligned primer disc/shell plate. I’ve loaded a few thousand federals on my 650 and a bunch of Winchester’s and it’s been fine. I’ve heard to wear safety glasses while loading in case of primer detonation, but other than that I think you’ll be fine
  13. I personally don’t like 147’s, from the small batch I tried. The sights tracked oddly compared to what I’m used to, and recoil felt different. It’s all in what you like I guess.. I use 125 grain blue bullets in my Stock 2 and I like them. If I had to change weights, I’d be more likely to try to go with 115’s over 147’s. The important thing is to find a reliable load that comfortably makes PF, and grip the gun hard!
  14. Guessing you’re speaking of the Bruce Gray picture? I haven’t experienced it or known anyone who has, but I’ve heard people talk about primers detonating Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. When I was in your situation I had a Lee 40 bullet feeder die with tubes. The tubes for 40 bullets held 9 cases fine. I drilled a hole in bottom of each tube and stuck a nail in there to hold the cases in place. I’d fill three and the Dillon tube before starting to load. It helped but the case feeder makes life much better
  16. I’ve had good luck with Remington’s SPP when I’ve used them (not much). I mostly use Winchester and don’t have issues with them
  17. When I shot a 226, I used Henning and Springer CZ basepads (production). They fit the Mecgar 18 round mags fine. Other brand or capacity mags did not work with those basepads though. That or get the 20 round mags for the 226 tacops, those work fine in my experience Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Is it worth it to save a bit of money on this one, or just get the MBF? Does Karl’s BF come with necessary parts or do you have to get a separate die, drop tube, etc? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. This would be interesting. I shot with a guy at SC Sectional that had a full size polymer Tanfo (newer ones) for carry optics. He said he liked it, but I didn’t inquire too much about it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Just polish it until it's reliable and has a good enough trigger. Also recoil spring, hammer spring, and basepads. I use a 10# recoil and 14.5 lb hammer spring if I remember correctly, but others go lighter on recoil springs
  21. Is it worth getting a 40 slide to try this? Seems like a lot of people (comparatively) run their Stock 2 in 40 minor
  22. Thanks for the answers. Has anyone seen the need for the lightweight Lok grips for weight in production? I'm leaning towards the orange/black palm swell bogies I think. I don't think I'd like grips any slimmer than my Henning's. PD Palm swells work but are more thick than I prefer
  23. How do the thin Lok grips compare to Henning full checkered grips in thickness and texture? Are the Lok palm swells similar to Patriot Defense palm swell grips?
  24. Just reading your process for cleaning brass is exhausting. Clean the brass, dry it, lube it, then load it and be done with it
  25. Any reason to not consider a 650? A 650 with a casefeeder is great. When I decided to upgrade to a Dillon it was between a 550 or 650. I went 650 for Auto index. Only thing to do is pull lever and set bullet. Whatever one you get, I recommend Dillon dies. I had issues with Lee and Hornady sizing dies taking excessive amounts of force to size (yes I lube cases). Switched to Dillon dies and they size easier and I'm getting less rejects when gauging
