  1. I bought a used set of Mitutoya calipers for reloading previously. I read about how great they are on the internet, etc, etc. they are unnecessary for reloading as mentioned above. You can get any decent set of calipers and you’ll be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    CZ 75 mag question

I don’t know about the phantom, but I have had some issues with other guns. I used blue magic (polishing compound) and lightly polished the outside (and inside) of my mags. With my Tanfo, this helped mags drop free better and on the inside the follower stopped binding up. It made my mags look a bit used immediately, but it got rid of the roughness to them and slicked them up. But more importantly they functioned as they should have. May be worth a try on one of your mags to see if it helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I use one of the hard plastic Arredondo keepers where the outer belt laps itself, then I use a Velcro belt keeper to the right of that at my holster. The Velcro’s been a bit worn out, but it stays together well enough Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I previously had pain in my right wrist before shooting. That had bothered me since I started dryfiring, but then the elbow pain came after a while of consistent dryfire and using Grippers. The Ironmind “Expand Your Hands Bands” resolved my issues pretty quickly. I guess it works out the muscle group that does the opposite of gripping, but I don’t know much about it. I recommend getting the whole set of bands as they’re inexpensive. You’ll likely start to feel relief in a few days if your issue was like mine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. He said in his post he talked to Mark 7 and they weren’t sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I had this problem in the past, and everyone told me i needed the alignment tool. When I called Dillon he told me that wasn’t likely the problem. I took everything apart including primer station and cleaned it all with isopropyl alcohol and put it back together. Worked great after that. Grime was getting caught under my primer disk if I recall correctly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I still use my vibratory tumbler and wet tumble, because of same issues as OP mentioned. Dust but also my cases had a film on them, which I didn’t really care for. If you don’t want a “FART” you can try your vibratory tumbler with warm water, dawn dish soap, and I put in about three sprays of brass juice (the case lube). I don’t use a dehydrator either, just put it on a towel and lay it over a register for my heating and air system. Cases are dry overnight, spray a bit more case lube on and start loading. My way may not be optimal, but it is easy, cheap, and works fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Need 4 valid scores for initial classification. After that it goes to best 6 of 8. In your case, they should count the 4 highest scores, if you had 5 valid scores
  9. Haha that was a while ago, but I didn’t know I was recommending a cordless drill/driver...or are we talking impact drills? I would definitely change my answer now. I would recommend Doubles Drill and then a dedicated transition drill. I like doing 90 degree transition and a wide transition drill. Obviously you have to train draws, reloads, movement and all components of USPSA, but I find I get a lot from doubles and transition drills. Also get on PSTG, a ton of good info and videos there
  10. This was a great interview. I’m not always a huge fan of interviews, but this one was entertaining and useful. Thanks Steve! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. While breakthrough marksmanship is great, I would recommend Dryfire Reloaded if only getting 1 book. If he follows a dryfire regiment, he can get good fast. I would say do Breakthrough Marksmanship next, just my opinion. Probably the best of all would be getting him a membership to PSTG though (Bens website). Him and Hwansik Kim have an awesome site. It’s my number #1 place to go for learning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. 1. Currently 2 (previously had 4) 2. X5 Legion grip and Full-size 3. Mainly Competition and home defense gun 4. Full size X-5 5. Make a grip module that can use removable grip panels. I really like Lok Bogies on my Tanfo and would like something similar on my 320’s. Also reshape the grip. The rear of the grip, around the beaver tail and below, is too wide. I hate to keep reverting to my Stock 2, but that has a great grip size in my opinion. Something closer to that shape at the rear of the grip module would be awesome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Springer precision extended mag release is what you’re looking for. I like the original one, but they also make a new one with a paddle on it for more surface area. I’m not sure exactly what’s legal in IDPA though
  14. I’ve contemplated this also and may try it soon. I have an old Gen 1 P320 in 40 and a new X5 Legion. The 40 slide doesn’t work on the Legion FCU. Soon I’ll get around to putting old FCU in legion module. I did not like the old P320 in 40. May be better with a heavier grip. A legion in 40 is supposed to be coming out eventually right?
  15. I mounted a bucket to my Lyman Vibratory tumbler without removing anything. Works pretty good but is super noisy. But I can just unmount bucket and keep using the tumbler. Drilled hole in bottom center of bucket and just used the rubber nut (that comes with the tumbler) to secure the bucket Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The top three pictures you posted didn’t go through. On the last picture, is that a PD palm swell or thin grip? Looks thicker than your Lok grip Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Is it decent Metallica at least? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Not allowed, only OFM parts. You can use Xtreme parts and I believe Unica parts. Appendix D4 #17 IPSC Rulebook Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I have a 3 gallon bucket that I will try it with. I’ll take a picture or some video if it works Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Wondering if I couldn’t just drill a hole in the bottom of a bucket, just to get the threaded rod thru on the tumbler and just bolt a bucket on top of tumbler. Then it could stay whole and operational... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I’d recommend Lok bogies: palm swell or the thicker profile. I do not have a shadow, but I use Lok’s on my Stock 2 and they are great. The bogies are aggressive enough to help your support hand get a good grasp when you squeeze hard. If that isn’t big enough for your hand, you can always try a Tanfo and see if those fit your hands better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I have not noticed a difference in the few powders I have loaded, but I don’t bench rest my guns much. Is this something you notice shooting from a bench or offhand? I’m curious to hear what the answer may be to the OP though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I don’t even notice what the shooter ahead of me is doing when they shoot. I’m busy rehearsing my stage plan when on deck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I just got a legion, but I know with my previous 320’s and X5 I always used Alma Cole’s videos Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Also illicit feedback from competitors that have been around and know what good matches and stages are like. Create the type of match and stages you would want to go to as a shooter. Also please do not get too high on yourself, Ive known a few MD’s that think they are gods gift to USPSA Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
