2023 Holosun Competition Optic. (507 Comp)
mveto replied to Michael303's topic in Gear & Accessories
I was able to pick up a few 507 comps (green) this weekend from a LGS, got them mounted up and sighted in and will be shooting a match this weekend with it, so far really impressed I like the dot and 8 MOA circle so far. Will try other combos this weekend tho. 3 LGS had the optics in stock over the weekend, most shops had the red, only 1 shop had the green. -
I just recently bought the modern classic slide as well, it is a great upgrade and well worth it in my opinion. Really happy with it and glad I went with it, accuracy is great with brass monkey 127cn’s. Going to try a 135ish gr bullet to see how it feels.

I’ve sold my SRO’s when one of the ones I had broke and needed repair, it was about 6 weeks to get fixed so in that time I switched over to a Romeo 3 Max. Used that for a few months and switched back to the SRO. Then I switched back to the Romeo 3 max when I switched platforms from CZ to Sig and just recently switched back to the SRO. I just get along better with the SRO I’ve found out.

No, on my 1100 the swage rod does not have a recessed bottom. I’ve never had an issue with rounds not going off if the flash hole is partially closed off.

Classifier scores for limited optics still not available?
mveto replied to Kenaxford's topic in USPSA/IPSC Shooting
I can see them but had to uninstall and reinstall the app on my phone and tablet, have had to do it every time new classifiers come out -
I’ve been using the wheeler fat wrench (non digital) for a few years and it’s worked great. Always use blue loctite, want to make sure those screws don’t loosen up, as far as torque goes be careful if the plate is aluminum I believe czc custom suggests no more than 10 inch pounds for the optic to the plate, 15 inch pounds if the plate is steel.

I recently picked up an S3 range cart, which is the Zuca Transit cart but with a custom built bag for shooting sports. Really happy with it compared to the backpack I was previously using. It’s nice having a built in seat and not having to put my bag on the ground if the range doesn't have enough table space.

I always bring my backup to matches, if for no other reason if someone might need a pistol to shoot I’d let them shoot mine. Never needed it as a backup yet, but I’m sure I will. One time I could have used it, my SRO took a crap on me during a stage, thank goodness it was the last stage of the match and I didn't need it, but all those mikes on the stage hurt.

Agreed, I have my 1100 set up with a SSI funnel, I was however responding to your previous post where you said you were puzzled by his set up. My response was that is the factory powder funnel that is included with the 1100.
-
Just wondering if you had the clunking before you installed the FW Arms prime time and shell plate? Could that something got reinstalled incorrectly and is causing a hang up somewhere.
-
That is the correct powder funnel for the 1100 since the case gets expanded during the swaging, the die in that station is a backup expanding die. As far as the clunking goes, no idea, never seen it happen during crimp since all that die is doing is removing a little belling.

It could be the fail safe powder assembly hanging up when it’s resetting.

Electronic over ear protection with high quality sound
mveto replied to ZimaConnoisseur's topic in Gear & Accessories
I’ll agree with the MSA Sordins, I’ve been using them for about 2 years now and am very happy with both the quality and the clarity of them. I’d used several cheaper models prior and thought they were fine till I got the MSA’s. -
When I had my SP01 Bull Shadow I had to run heavier grips to get the gun balanced the way I liked it, it was a very soft shooting extremely accurate gun. Kinda wish I didn’t sell it haha

I’m currently using a Max but have used an SRO in the past, no issues with the MAX yet but I’m sure it will eventually, they all do. When I had the SRO it went out at around 5k rounds it took about 6 weeks to get fixed, that’s one reason I switched to the MAX it seems Sig replaces/fixes them in about 2 weeks. edit: I am however looking to try out the new 507comp when it’s released

I know one of the current USPSA rules updates they are asking for feedback on specifically addresses the slides with comps built it to clarify it as a comp.

I’ve had both the fully tuned SP01 and a Shadow 2, I can honestly tell you I much prefer the S2. I sold off my SP01’s and Bull Shadows to buy the S2. Having paid the off roster price for the S2 it’s expensive (buy once cry once) but fits me me much better, but I’ve recently made a platform switch so my S2 is now gathering dust.

Mr Bulletfeeder Dislodge Arm Spring
mveto replied to Vizorn's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
So glad I ran across this post, need to order a new spring as well mine got all bent and is no longer functioning, need to call DAA in the morning. -
So my friend contacted F4E to inquire about getting his slide milled and it seems they are closing down, anyone else got any info on this? Sucks to see another good shop go.

I’ve got his trigger kits in both my legions, I really like it compared to the stock triggers. I’m new to the P320 platform but for a striker fired trigger it’s very crisp and has a very short pull and reset with the competition springs. Coming from CZ’s I am more than pleased with the trigger kit.
-
I did 4 grips the other week was my first time ever applying SC, pretty easy to do yourself, just watch the videos and you’ll be fine. The key really is to not rush it and make sure you have everything ready and a plan in place.
-
.356 135’s in my legion because that’s what my Shadow 2 likes. Been using them for the last 3 yrs or so, just started shooting the legion but they seem very accurate in it so far.
-
I’m running a Romeo 3 Max on my legion, using a springer adapter plate, on my S2 I have a SRO, you can’t go wrong with either one. I like the max better, slightly bigger window and I think the dot it brighter.
-
The 17’s, the 21’s from my understanding do need to be fit and I didn’t want to mess with that.

Henning extensions and grams guts are what I’m using 23+1 and they work great, and a large selection of colors if that matters to you.
