  1. Yep, they work no problem, no worries.
  2. What ever happened to your project
  3. I just received a pair of Soloman 4 Wides, much better for my feet, like them a lot.
  4. Well hopefully HI5-0 will help you out, good luck.
  5. Contact DAA in Europe, they use to stock them and may know where to get them, or have some in house, not advertised.
  6. There were board meetings last year, with all the changes that were made, it's time for a new book. Unless there are more changes to come?
  7. You would think that the new rule book would be published at the beginning of the season, it's not like the changes weren't being discussed before the end of the last year.
  8. Buy the best you can afford, you'll spend it later anyway.
  9. I've not experienced that problem, are you using lubricant? A cover will definitely help.
  10. Com on now, why no comps, seems we're a tad short of Open!
  11. So, maybe reduce my load? Then deal with springs?
  12. Power Factor is 175, was a little concerned, but this is where the comp is really working. Right now when I double tap, the second shot is high, so from everything I've read and heard, I need to go a little higher weight on the recoil spring. I guess after shooting limited loads at 900 fps, this will take a little getting use to. The gun is jonnie on the spot, about an inch difference on impact from 10 to 35 yds.
  13. I have an issue, maybe not? this will be my first year in Open, and I have a lot to learn. I will be using a Caspian 38 SC gun, 5" KKM barrel, three port comp, no popples, no slide lightening. I have settled on 10.2 gr AA#7, HAP 125, OAL 1.230"(1400 fps), 10# recoil and 17# mainspring. It has been brought to my attention that the gun is throwing my brass to far? 8 to 10 feet about 3:30 to 4 o'clock position, is this really a concern? I have zero problems with ejection, doesn't hit the scope mount on it's way out? I am still going to try a 11 and 12# spring to control the muzzle flip, on a double tap, the second round is high. Any input will be appreciated.
  14. If I can not buy a large volume of powder, say 8, I buy 1 pounders and mix together in a larger container. I agree with HCH.
  15. I'm with you, truth in advertising. Next time I'm at the range, I'll check my CMore and buddies Burris.
  16. Have you tried, or heard if the Remington mag will fit an RIA? or the other way around
  17. So many choices, one could spend a lot of money trying to figure out the optimal load combination. I have tried VV340 7.2 gr, @ 1380 fps, not as much gas, but is doable.
  18. Good luck with your test, I'll stick with AA#7 for now, 22 pound, and I can get it most anywhere.
  19. I'm using 10.2 gr AA#7 in a 5" 38SC gun w/125 gr HAP, shoots pretty flat. 1" low at 10y to 1" high at 35y. I have a 10# spring right now, next time out will try an 11# if I can find one, and a 12# spring, when I double tap, the second shot is 1.5 to 2 inches higher. I haven't tried the gas test yet, maybe next time if I remember white cardboard. I would like to try some VV3N37 or 38, but hard to find here in Montana. Oh, 10.2 gr AA@7 out of my KKM barrel get me @1400fps.
  20. I have settled on 10.2 gr of AA#7, HAP 125, gets me right at 174 pf and it does produce enough gas to work the compensator. Super Comp and no popples. I don't find that AA#7 is extremely dirty, not as clean as VV tho.
  21. My thumb is to short for most thumb rests, so I have a tab welded to the slide stop, get the angle I want and can reduce the size to my licking. Also don't have to remove sight base screws to take the slide off for cleaning. Add a piece of skate tape.
  22. I do want to try 3N38 and 3n37, from what I've read throughout the forums, 3N37 may work best for a 5" gun with no popples.
