  1. The big issue would be, how long is your barrel chamber to the bullet loaded to the length you want? Physical internal dimension of the mag is stated above.
  2. That would be real tight, maybe, maybe 1.26 or .27, with super comp, inside front to back dimension is 1.300"
  3. I'm at 1.250" on MBX no problem, there is a little more, but I am comfortable with this, and no failures so far. Sorry, just checked, 1.240"
  4. The reason I have a Caspian is the narrower frame, fits my small hand. I have Caspian mags, and MBX mags, prefer the MBX, they feed the rounds better. Yes they are expensive, but are plug and play. I've been tempted to try the Tangfo?
  5. I run steel Caspian's, about 45 oz. empty, not sure about the titanium, but don't think I would go much more. I have been wanting to try a different mag? I use MBX mags, they work! 22 in 140 and 27 in 171. I use 38SC, but have known those who use 9x23? both work.
  6. I never considered the contact area of one compared to the other, so I checked my open cone comp and compared it to my limited bull barrel, and there is a different wear pattern on the contacting surfaces. I have been leaning towards a one piece barrel/comp because of the comp clocking when hot.
  7. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to using either one? I am going to build another open gun, my current is using a cone comp, and want to consider all options. Will probably stick with KKM, both my open and limited guns have them, I like the quality. Staying with 38 SC and probably no popple holes?
  8. Why can't you, it is struck just as the paper, steel is supposed to be painted for every shooter. If there is a visible strike, it was hit by the shooters bullet and didn't just fall?
  9. So, why does a shooter get misses on paper, and a reshoot on steel? Shooting through the wall is still shooting through the wall!
  10. Answered my own question on the barrel, Remington's site says ramped.
  11. Where did you see it for 880.00 w/rebate? Also, does this pistol have a ramped/non-ramped barrel?
  12. They will get back to you, but in the mean time, what about MBX, that's what I use. Yes, they're expensive, but they work.
  13. Did a little checking in the shop, appears to be 6-32 by @ 1/4", will hit the hardware store today and see what I come up with.
  14. Can anyone help with the thread pitch on and STI grip?
  15. Another good idea, going to clean it up and if I can find the original, I'll put it back in.
  16. Have checked the primers, but forgot all about the firing pin channel, will do that today. Thanks
  17. I have a 4.5 9mm XDM, PRP 3lb trigger, 14lb recoil spring, getting lite primer strikes. Does anyone make a longer firing pin, or any suggestions to get a better strike?
  18. I switched to MBX for this exact reason. If you are using STI, or other mags, I bet you own a Dawson mag tuning kit, or some other tools for tuning you mags, it's not if you will need this, it's when. I have MBX for 40 and 38SC, think I made the switch 4 years ago, to date, haven't put a tool on either. If the mag is hitting the ejector during reloads, that is a disaster waiting to happen. The issue I had with MBX and the Pro 40 was, they sent me the wrong mags? Once I called them, they promptly sent me the correct mags, and I haven't had a problem since. I know it's frustrating, and there are plenty of shoots around the corner, but they will take care of you.
  19. I use only MBX with my Pro 40, but there was a few issues with the MBX mags in the beginning, call them, they will take care of you.
  20. Yes , I maintained pressure on the barrel, the pin rotated freely as you described.
  21. I checked that out, and the pin moves freely. I'm leaning towards a bad link pin, it broke cleanly around the circumference, and the middle looked cast and dark.
