  1. Bullet feeder since the case feeders need constant tinkering was my decision.
  2. Mine runs perfect with any ammo and factory glock mags including the 33 round. The Korean 33 round mag is 95% but occasionally doesn't feed. I only use it for practice now.
  3. I shoot a jrc in PCC. Bads: mag release is on left side instead of normal AR-15 position. 33rd glock mags feel loose in receiver. My buddy had one fall out inadvertently but I never have. No last round bolt hold open (not a big deal to me) cleaning is a chore compared to an AR It is a really fun gun to shoot even with the oddities. Just stuff to be aware of.
  4. Shot this today with a 4.0x and 9.84 hit factor in SS. One calculator says 10.5 is high and other says 13.3 is high hit factor. Big swing there.
  5. The sight came down quicker when I tri-topped my three guns. I ended up going down a lb in my recoil spring weights to compensate. I did it for the weight savings but ended up liking it so much, I did it to all three of my guns. I have 50k rounds each on two of the guns. No issues even shooting major.
  6. Cut out the back of the grips. Or an aluminum mainspring housing are simple ideas.
  7. Maybe it's just my military training and years spent overseas, but someone else manipulating my firearm when I'm capable of following orders, makes me nervous. Especially when loaded and holstered. I trust myself to draw a pistol without shooting my leg. Not everyone else. Cops maybe comfortable disarming someone else but I guarantee they don't like people reaching for their holstered firearm. The reality is just tell the guy to unload and show clear.
  8. Reaching for another shooters loaded gun isn't a very bright move.
  9. Yes I could machine rails but the goal is to keep weight forward. I'll just email and ask
  10. Thanks Gary. Figured it would be okay. I'll bring it to nationals and worse case I win open right? its a .40 and will make weight.
  11. Building a 1911 SS rig for uspsa. I know single stacks are legal with a light rail as long as shorter then 3.25 from rear of slide stop. Is it legal to have a dust cover just as long but without a light rail? Still shorter then 3.25 of course.
  12. I like things as close to the same as possible. So I would change it, After making sure you like it on the new gun. Resale market is pretty good from what I have seen
  13. Stage design matters a lot. How accurate are you shooting major? If you shoot a ton of c's and d's. Stay with major. I keep thinking about shooting minor just because I could compare to production times and also steal their stage plans.
  14. I really liked the 220 bullets over 3.6 grains of titegroup. Soft shooting and easy to track sights. I have shot 60k of them. I am now experimenting with 180's to see how they perform on the clock. I would only try the 220's in a long chamber 1911/2011.
  15. I get Winchester brass that does the same thing. Not sure why. They do appear thicker but it doesn't do it all the time. Maybe be the brass is shorter? I put any case that doesn't get a bullet into a special container to shoot and then scrap.
  16. Make sure you don't see carbon around the gas block. If you do, it's leaking. An adjustable gas block won't help if it's under gassed.
  17. Cabelas just let me order 38k small pistol primers. Now to see if it works.
  18. I carry five plus 1 in the gun. How accurate and smooth are you at reloading?
  19. Do you want to sit or stand and watch it? Straight ceiling overhead or slanted? I'll measure mine but wish I had went two inches lower due to the ceiling being slanted. It's really nice sitting and watching it pretty close to eye level though.
  20. Anyone seen deals on primers lately? I was using Tula and drained those. Then S&B. About to be out of those. Anyone else have any leads on cheap primers for plinking / range ammo. Gun lights anything so not worried about that. Small pistol is what I'm looking for. I figured this might be a good thread to post deals. Kind of like the powder find thread.
  21. Anyone using TG with a 200 grain bullet out of a glock .40? Looking to make 150 PF or at least enough to cycle a stock glock 22. Would like to use xtreme 200 grain with titegroup since I have an abundance. Any load data would help.
  22. Fast draw, fast reload, and excellent transitions are what you need. Focus on those in dry fire. It won't take long to see a big difference.
  23. I noticed a slight difference when I went to a lighter bullet but based on the timer, it was more in my head then on the clock. Maybe .02 better on a good run but most times it was just my perception that changed.
