  1. The bushing I shot was very low recoil. Can't imagine a bull barrel being necessary for 9mm
  2. 5.4 Mind blown. I really love 6 inch guns but 5.4 sounds cool
  3. I like the tripp corey mags for loading long. Regular mags for loading short. The corey mags still a little further below the dawson magwell so those are my favorite
  4. Target crown and a barrel bushing that requires a tool to remove are both very important and not very expensive.
  5. The dark house at pasa isn't huge. Basically it becomes a point shoot. After the first shot, you won't see your sights. At least I didn't. There was a flashlight but I never touched it at SS nationals.
  6. I shoot .40 and don't think the cost is enough to justify. The recoil impulse between 9mm and my .40 or .45 are very different. Hence I don't shoot my 9mm for practice anymore unless that's what I plan on using
  7. What brand is that? I like the thumb guard.
  8. Are you guys using them in striker fired or 1911 style guns?
  9. Had good luck in my 1911 with 15lb mainspring. They are cheap and have worked good for me. Velocity was average of 10 FPS faster then the CCI's I usually use.
  10. Most limited guns have lighter slides, some have more front end weight so you don't need as much push down on the front of the gun. I run a 14 in my SS just because the feeding is better. Shoots smoother with a 13lb but isn't as reliable.
  11. Im with kneeling atlas. Be careful with a comp or holes. It will be easy to get the gun to not function at all or be sub minor if shooting uspsa.
  12. I like to mix them in but it's easy to get accepting of Charlie's or just hearing a ding. So make sure you are still trying for alphas and don't use them exclusively
  13. I lose mag catches every 8 months. They never fail in a match but usually they have chunks taken out of the ledge. Too much dry fire I guess. Had an extractor fail at Florida open. Rebent it and did a lot of malfunction clearing but finished the match
  14. If you want to get better, squad with people better then you in your division. If you are brand new though, try to find someone that likes teaching as well.
  15. Dry fire new techniques before live fire.
  16. It was in stock yesterday at Selway armory. Not anymore though.
  17. It must have lasted too long so they put it on Facebook lol
  18. Checked most of them. Have a spreadsheet going but was looking for more names. That adds a few. Thanks Sarge.
  19. Looking for leads on a cheap 180 or 200 grain coated bullet that is a true round nose. I know Acme makes one but it's more then xtremes for me. So any other leads? If I can't get a true round nose, Who makes the cheapest 180 or 200 grain coated bullet? I shoot way too much and trying to save some cash.
  20. Chamber or barrel length could play a role but since most of us are at 4.2 to 4.3 grains at major (loaded long), I don't have an explanation for that drastic a difference. How close were you to making major?
  21. If you didn't make major at 4.9 and 1.13 length, I would quit while ahead. Titegroup tends to give less and less velocity as you add powder in my experience. I'm not sure why, but if the accuracy isn't there, and you didn't make major, I would try a different bullet or powder.
  22. RO's should be aware of issues during a match and expect the competitor to do crazy crap....Like run back to retrieve or reshoot a mag. I hate seeing it, but I have seen it more then once where a competitor knows they blew it and runs back to some crazy spot they know the RO isn't expecting knowing they will get a reshoot.
